No doy; but I guess it needs to be reported. If James wants to know if he'll be around for the long haul like LMA did, he'll be able to regale him with stories, like the time his wife was on her deathbed and he made sure he didn't miss the game.

Marc Stein sucks. Dude has no reliable sources nowadays. It is really been a remarkable falloff for him since he got canned from ESPN.

You could say the same thing about Woj since he was hired by ESPN.

Well I think we have a more pressing "meeting" on the horizon, but sure they'll talk if LeBron is looking around and he wants to win. I laughed it off at first and suddenly after watching another Durant helicopter ride to Mount Everest, it seems much more plausible.

Perhaps. He knows a meeting with Pop is damn near inevitable. The article writes itself. Actually, I haven't even read it (yet). But I can imagine.

He's done in Cleveland, they traded half the team to put a team around him and they failed to show up- even if they did then they still would've been outmatched by GSW. Cleveland doesn't have much in the way of getting better. The 8th pick and Love might not be enough to net an all-star to improve the team to try and better compete with GSW and sell Lebron on returning.

Something like G. Hill, Clarkson and Korver + 8th pick for Batum, Kemba and MKG might be the best that they can hope for if Jordan decides to blow up that trash team, and rebuild with the 8th and 11th picks and save a boat load of money in the process.

So spurs fans actually want the cry baby, no effort on defense, switching onto curry during a pivotal moment, tantrum throwing, bag lebron on the team? We still don’t even know how we would have fared against GS with a healthy Kawhi smh

The only reason to try and get LeBron is you would be assuming Spurs will be able to have a healthy Kawhi Leonard. Kawhi and LeBron would be an excellent dynamic duo, one would take pressure off of the other. Of course Spurs would really have a big 3 with LeBron, Kawhi and LaMarcus Aldridge. Spurs will have to try and grab one more piece to form a big 4. To beat the Warriors you need a big 4. A big 3 is not going to cut it.

Of course he'll get a meeting. The hope is that it isn't a complete waste of time.

No, you can do it with those three. Lack of any penetrating guards is obviated when you have a force of nature being able to drive at will to the hoop and dish. Lebron would pick up defensive intensity if the guys around him didn’t suck. I do think keeping Danny would be helpful if Lebron were brought in.

Meeting is probably a waste of time but have to take one.

Murray proved to be a good defender and rebounder but his position dictates he be good shooter and facilitator. He is far from that. It just shows you how bad our guard play was that he became the starter. Patty and Tony were sub-par and in TP's case, a horrific, defensive liability. TP needs to be gone or take some sort of filler role at the end of the bench. I personally think he should have never been brought back but it didn't end up costing the team. They weren't winning jack without Leonard.

There is no argument against the Spurs chasing Lebron. They won’t get him but they have to try.

It strikes me more as one of those status moves to show SA Can get meetings with the big free agents.

Pop and his entourage of Paddy, Kyle, and Bryn will definitely get the opportunity to buy the King lunch and to wish him good luck with which ever team he chooses to play for next season.

It's not a status move, it's a pity, I mean a courtesy meeting and any team can get them.. Even the Denver friggin Nuggets were granted a meeting with CP3 before he demanded a trade to Houston.

Patty had a good year shooting the ball and breaking down the defense. Tony was our best pure PG. The problem with those two is their defense. DJ is solid, especially if we add Lebron he will be an asset because he doesn't need the ball on his hands. Lebron likes to facilitate for others and that plays well with DJ, Patty, and Danny strengths. Patty and Danny can make the open 3, while DJ can attack the basket, he can be very effective on the elbow action Lebron like to run.

If you think about it, that is what Spurs have to offer over say Houston. We need a playmaker, and we have shooters and slashers that can finish plays while playing solid D. Houston has already two players that can create for others.
