true Clinton would have hired someone
Ducks gone wild.
He got into the rice wine or sumfin
Just got done reading the whole thing. If anyone hasn't read this article, there is a long detailed description of the proposal designed to lift sanctions on Russia, the plan, and Flynn's involvement. Quite detailed.
I've maxed out on free WaPo articles this month.
Can you put it in a nuts ?
incognito mode bypasses WaPo paywall
And NY times last I checked.
We are horrible people.
Yup incognito but i'll sum for whomever is interested
- Artemenko faced questions from Grand Jury regarding back channel peace plan.
- Plan would eventually lift sanctions on Russia
- Cohen brought Trump a letter of intent to build Moscow Tower project
- Cohen sent an email to Putin's spokesman seeking help for the project
- Backchannel peace plan delivered to Cohen one week after Trump took office in a meeting brokered by Felix Sater.
- Sater said he gave plan to Cohen who would pass it to Flynn. But Flynn was fired before Cohen could pass it on. Cohen says he threw plan away but Sater and Artemnko aren't sure about that
- Cohen said Russian Govt was on board
- Artemenko briefed Russian govt officials on plan. Those officials said they needed confirmation from the US and Ukraine on the plan
- Grand Jury focused on Cohen and if plan was to benefit Russia
What’s The Story Here?
A simple, short quotation from a piece today in Vanity Fair about Michael Cohen.
“The breakup was also spurred by a disagreement over payment, and
how much the Trump Organization was expected to foot on Cohen’s behalf,
according to two sources with knowledge of the dispute.”
It speaks for itself.
The Trump Organization is Donald Trump.
Full stop.
Why is the President paying any of Michael Cohen’s legal bills?
How much is he paying and has he paid?
We knew that the Trump campaign paid money last year.
But that was supposedly tied to answering questions before the Russia committees which is at least notionally tied to the campaign.
But this is Trump personally.
Why is President Trump paying Michael Cohen’s legal bills?

Trash pays Cohen to shut up about, to protect Trash and therefore Cohen convicted, goes to prison,
keeping Cohen + family solvent
Cohen goes to prison, then Trash pardons Cohen

Trump’s personal lawyer was just busted in a shady pay-for-play immigration visa scam
President Trump’s personal lawyer collected a referral fee for helping block a crucial reform of America’s broken immigration system that lets the top 1% of wealthy emigrants buy green cards that come with a path to citizenship.
The Kushner family has been an especially frequent, high profile user of EB-5 visa based financing, which is also known as the “Golden Ticket” visa.
Michael Cohen referred his client
U.S. Immigration Fund (USIF) – which is run by a convicted felon with a tangled past
– to former employer Squire Patton Boggs, which perpetrated a mysterious but effective campaign to block legislation that would reform the
the corrupt EB-5 visa program, which is sometimes refered to as the “crack cocaine of real estate financing.”
A Republican Senator was actually trying to fix the “Golden Ticket” program’s unintended loopholes, which are hurting housing affordability in America’s largest cities.
But Trump’s personal lawyer took a handsome fee to kill the reform effort, and to protect his client’s $700 million New York real estate deal pipeline, which is worth $35 million in USIF commissions.

That there would be a written down back channel peace deal boggles the mind...unless of course the counterparty was looking to compromise Trump.
I can understand why Cohen might have kept it if indeed such a do ent exists -- insurance/leverage against his client.
Very dangerous spot for Cohen, if true. Might be safer for him in jail.
Cohen could also be a complete goofball doing a bunch of stupid on his own.
He wanted it to be known he was a big player, he may now suffer the consequences of being stupid and ambitious without the ability to pardon himself. This idiots problems continue to worsen.
None of this is on his own. Giuliani even said Trump knew about the Stormy Daniels payment.
Would not surprise me. Cohen strikes me as a total weasel, and that would explain why Cohen is going under the bus so early on. Trump cult is going to have to scramble to discredit him as fast as possible. Dear Leader's tweets have clearly signaled what the proxy's need to say. Expect that to filter down to ducks-level at some point.
Thats not my opinion. I think he’s a goofball and may have pursued stuff on his own instead of being the horrible “fixer” as he has been portrayed. Trump goes out and tells him find me a Russian... Don’t see it. The Russians actively focused on people around Trump. They saw the idiots on Trump’s team were oblivious. This goofball is looking for $. It never gets to Trump... I can definitely see this.
Too bad that is wrong though. Nobody acts without Trump's approval.
BS.
Trump is not a detail guy.
AT&T and Novartis didn't get much for their money to Cohen.
