Seems most likely imo. We’re not trading him to LA.

I'd want Kyrie as part of a package sending Silent Green to Boston. He and Tatum. Do it RC.

Yep. Amin will be right there. Spurs didn't respect him enough. Didn't show him the respect he deserved. Blah blah blah
So true bro. Hate Amin. Still salty about Phoenix vs Spurs 10 years ago.

Was saying it even before the playoffs.
Tatum will be better than Mitc and may be even better than simmons but I wont go that far yet ..

You'd think if LMA was unhappy with Lillard, he would be unhappy with Kyrie. Ma Touches would be asking for an immediate trade.

Funny. I used to not be able to stand any of you Lakers. But I've been reading your takes over the last few days, and they've all been reasonable and accurate. Well done.

I'm high on Tatum too, but better than a 25+ PPG guy that is arguably the best perimeter defender ever? How is that even possible?

So your theory is that Kawhi planned this all out after the Mills and Gasol signings?

    Completely delusional and illogical, tbh..
I was asked what were the FO mistakes with Kawhi and I gave one example. There is no roster flexibility and no real way of improving the team other than gutting it for Lebron which isn't happening. The cap space is virtually non existent after the Pau and Paddy contracts. There is no reason to stay with an organization that prefers culture and friendship over talent and skill. The NBA is a business and the Spurs are treating it like a backyard BBQ or a neighborhood block party. Pop has also said many times that winning is secondary to life. Well, try explaining that to a 26 year old trying to win championships as he watches his head coach piss games away left and right while being thoroughly outcoached and laughing about it in the post game press conference while he lauds his opponents to death.

$80M? Right. He's got one more big endorsement contract left in him. Which he already had a sizable offer from Jordan brand while he was here.

So yeah, he would probably pull in an extra 20-25M in ad revenue out in LA. But then take the higher taxes out of that and see how it impacts his dedication to the game he loved, while he's zipping around doing ads. Summary, you're ing nutz if you think he's making up $80M out there. I'd just leave you with one reminder here, you're talking about the media personality akin to a ing brick wall. About the most you can hope for as far as range and character out of this guy is what HEB got out of him.

No, actually. If this is what Kawhi is I'm thrilled to be done with him. Spurs will probably suck for a while but at least that drama queen is gone. Also maybe Boston can beat GS.

Uh, Kyrie pretty much just turned down an extension. The thrill may be gone for Ainge.

He's still under contract. Don't cater to what he wants after he ed over the franchise for a year. Let him sit for another year. Either that or trade him to the Hornets for a used tampon. Anything but LA.

You're underestimating the power of a big market. And even then, who says it's about the money? You're talking about a guy who drives around in a 90 something Tahoe because "it works and it's paid off". There's more to this than money.

    Appreciate it.
Of course I prefer/want him to come to Lakers if he is healthy... I may even want him over Lebron cuz he is younger.
But if I take my bias out of it Boston has the best assets over Philly and Lakers.
IF Kyrie is healthy Kyrie (doubtful) and Tatum would be a great haul and celts could build around Hayward and Kiwi.
Everyone says Ainge wont budge on Tatum but that is EXACTLy why spurs should insist even at the cost of not getting both the sacto and memphis pick

I Was Spurfan when shaq was traded. I screamed everywhere I could that we should have insisted on Wade (before wade ws great) because you should NEVER trade an established star WITHOUT getting their best young player on the other team. Picks alone are not enough. Everyone said riles would not include Wade but if had not Iwould not have traded them Shaq. I thought Brown and Tatum were closer ...but after the ECF the gap is further as Baseline said ...no Tatum, no Kiwi. PERIOD.

Finally - we’ll get a truly exciting offseason.

Sad that it’s over but I’m not too broken up about it. I’d hate to seem them trade for some mediocre vets for some attempt at a semblance of relevancy. Take the best package of picks or kids and pull the trigger wherever it is. I’d trade Lamarcus too. Go young and hoard picks until you arrive at your next true superstar.

Your mistake is that you think that frugal Kawhi is making the decisions. The vultures have descended from the sky. A desperate, sketchy former NFL agent, currently without an agency, paid his uncle a $1M 'development deal' to have access to and control over Kawhi's future. End of story.
