crazy cause the spurs have taken care of him every step of the way tbh. traded to acquire him during the draft. didnt force him into a role he wasn't ready for. when he earned his way past RJ, they plugged him in as starter and traded jefferson. his role expanded with time. pop called him the future of the franchise after his rookie year, but even then never pressured him with a role he wasn't ready for. pop had to push him to be assertive on route to him getting a finals mvp. when he became lead dog, they went and got an elite second option. still kept his minutes in check. and they maxed him out along the way, too.

Which is why I want kathi traded. D will was once talked about being on par with Chris Paul, he was the jazzes franchise player. Then he got fat and traded, bouncing around like garbage. Sloan was well respected but not a real trendsetter. Pop is still a very modern coach and well respected. He's not the real issue. If it does come to pop vs kathi I'm hoping they don't get short sighted.

Likely. As I've said all along, I think taking your time is prudent unless something that'll blows their mind comes along. Try to salvage the relationship, and at the same time let the Lakers use up their cap space eliminating that a FA destination for KL next year. Spurs leverage grows until Oct 16 at least.

But we all know Spurs are hard to get a read on. So who knows. He could be moved at the draft.

I find it odd there are no Knicks rumors as they are such a huge market. Uncle D would probably love to send Kawhi there. Could see Kyrie and Kawhi both going there eventually.
