you can just deport them together if you want to play hardball. whats ed up is detaining the parent because you want to try them criminally instead of just deporting them, and holding the kid somewhere else.
can you link me this story, dale? sounds interesting.

Are you listening to Sarah McLachlan as you post these? #Tears
The best way to get a bad law repealed is to enforce it strictly.

Lol you of all people saying this
Do you ask the women to carryon and that you will take the child and raise the young duckling?
How many kids (hatchlings) have you adopted? Step up to the plate, then you can speak.

Consequences...
Tell me about that budget Chris?
Definitely something I had in common with the Rs. Until... no consequences. What about infrastructure vs. Star Wars ya hypocrite?
Hillary loves to cash in on things like this.
Nasty woman.
Explain in detail in any way how thats even slightly relevant to housing children in cages
both chambers of congress + presidency

Except they already said this wasn’t a law P E R I O D
trump doesn't need chuck's permission to stop the current separation policy
if republicans put forward a bill that does nothing but stop the separation policy, i'm sure at that point, democrats would play ball. but they're rightfully cynical. when they wanted to fix daca, those proposals were bogged down by amendments that added to defense spending, for instance
June 2018 ding
We dont negotiate with terrorists tbh
Chuck wants to punt to Trump when he could stop it. That's really sad tbh
This is narrow legislation. No strings attached, no excuses.
lol
lets assume meadows is completely sincere and the bill he wants to put together is ONLY concerning stopping the current separation of families and no other strings attached. unlikely as , but lets assume he's right
Process A) how long until the bill is put up for committee vote. assuming committee passes it, how long until BOTH chambers of congress hold votes? and then how long until trump signs it?
Process B) or trump could just tell them to stop now. even though trump's signature is the last step of process A anyway
SHOCKING! WE AS A NATION MUST NEVER DO ANYTHING THAT WOULD CAUSE A TODDLER TO CRY! MUH MORALS!
link to the bill?
besides, its a house bill and schumer is in the senate... he cant stop it from there
lets see them bring this bill to a vote and see if schumer actually calls for a filibuster when it does actually reach the senate "with no strings attached"
They could make it law by the end of the week if both parties wanted to. Democrats don't want to lose their campaign issue so that will never happen.
democrats would lose their campaign issue overnight if trump stops it right now. heck, then trump could spin it as "when the democrats wouldn't step up, i did" or some bull like that
and the assertion that it could be pushed through so quickly is based on the assumption that there will be zero strings attached. when the have we ever seen that kind of legislation passed?
Do you want a permanent fix from Congress or a band-aid? Process A seems a lot more Democratic to me than Process B which is nuclear.
