With all the craziness that has been going on regarding Kawhi, let's post our conspiracy theories.
1. Kawhi injury misdiagnosis was really PEDs gone wrong!
What evidence do we have to support that? Not much, other his physical transformation since he entered the NBA. To tell the truth Kawhi has gotten bigger and bigger every summer. He was even more swollen this season, and that somehow might have backfired on his body. Spurs were upset thinking he went too far, Kawhi blames the spurs for it and we are where we are today.
2. Lebron is coming to the Spurs (D Russel told us so) but Kawhi has heard all the horror stories from his Uncle, who is close to Kyrie's uncle, and want none of it.
I hope that's the real reason he wants out, and if that's the case. I would drive him to the airport myself.
3. Kawhi realizes that Pop, Manu, Tony are retiring, the Holts are getting a divorce, and in general, the Spurs have no hope of competing with the rest of the league.
Is that possible, well yes, that is the most likely scenario in my mind. Pop will be 70 this season and won't be around for much longer. Plus, other coaches are surpassing him and other teams have better front offices. We don't have any young assets and we are locked up with Pau's and Patty's contracts for the next few years.

Did the Spurs offer the supermax? If not, would he sign for the supermax or not? Is he really offended, but it all goes away with the Supermax?
I highly doubt the Spurs offered the supermax.
What if this is Uncle Dennis’s way of forcing the Spurs to get rid of all the dead weight on the team? Before Kawhi re-signs? *dun dun duuun* lol

AFAIK, they can't actually offer him the supermax until 1 July.
Conspiracy theory: he got rid of his agent who knew what they were doing and is letting his inexperienced relative represent him and attempt to negotiate a nine figure contract on his behalf.
What's funny is that his previous agent was pretty Busch League as it was but out of the woodworks Uncle Denny popped up and said "here hold my beer".

You LeBron haters are crazy. Yeah, I'm sure Kawhi would agree to sit out an entire year, cost himself the supermax, and ruin his reputation just to somehow prevent LeBron from being criticized. Never mind the fact that LeBron will still be criticized no matter what, like he always has been throughout his entire career.

My conspiracy theory is this:
LBJ realizes his current situation in Cleveland after last year's finals, and recognizes that Kiwi is the best possible component to merge with himself, is Kiwi. He back channels himself into Uncle Dennis' ear. That plus how the IT situation turned out might be enough cir stantial evidence to get Kiwi to do what he wants (sit out the season). Heck if you want to go really Machiavelli on this he could have insured the IT situation went badly in Cleveland, to make it more of a cautionary tale to make sure Kiwi sat out. LBJ also realizes that this type of behavior would not fly with Pop. Also were Kiwi to play this past season the Spurs might either topple the Dubs or come close enough to make this plan impossible. It is funny how whenever things seemed better on the reconciliation front between Kiwi and the Spurs, some anonymous source would toss a turd into the punch bowl. LBJ wants to dispatch the Dubs and see's doing so as his ticket up the next rung on the ladder of the immortals however his ego won't let him submit to Pop's control because then he (Lebron) wouldn't get all the credit.
LBJ has enough media control and Kiwi is isolated enough for this to be pulled off. That is the only way walking away from the Supermax could be plausible, if one or both of the people in your circle of trust, Uncle Dennis and the agent are in on the plan. I wouldn't be surprised if Nike's billion dollar agent couldn't convince them to get Jordan brand to low ball the sneaker offer and then have a much bigger deal say 12 million a year for 4 years on the table once Kiwi lands on a bigger market team like say the Lakers. Why would Nike do that? Well even if Kiwi is never a big shoe pull, putting LBJ who now you are permanently tied to on a championship team in LA is more than worth the paltry peanuts they would be giving Kiwi to get him back on top of the NBA.
Whatever, Kawhi got upset when they didn’t trade Aldridge. To make matters worse, they re-signed him. This was supposed to be his franchise, he and Aldridge don’t mix. If he stays he is in mediocrity for the rest of his career. Just a shame that he has handled this so poorly. Kick rocks Kawhi, system player
you are en led to your opinion but if Kiwi wanted LMA gone, he could easily say him or me. It is not like LMA was a member of the big 3 with multiple rings with the franchise. Kiwi wants to go to LA because that is where Uncle Dennis wants him.
I think there might be some truth to Kawhi not liking where things went with LaMarcus Aldridge. What I mean there is the tantrum on aisle 9 that LaMarcus threw and then pop seemingly being careful with thim and not really yelling at his ass like he would other Spurs.
Another thing that maybe Kawhi didn't really like playing for Pop.
The most likely thing is none of this and more likely that sucker Magic wants to build in L.A. and this guy is a California guy and then Uncle Dennis is the biggest piece of rat bas in all of Sports.
In a stunning move, it is revealed that both Popped and Kawhi have been on the same team all along.
They want to bolt to form a superteam, with Pop insisting Matty Bonner be part along with Shaun Bradley coming out of retirement.
They want to let LeBron know that the spurs can have drama too.
