Then start the ask with Simmons.
Not a chance in . I doubt they'd trade Simmons for even Davis much less Leonard.

Kind of thought you were mocking that fraud Manu4Tres for a second there, just needed confirmation that you were being serious.

Did the reporter cite sources or is it just his personal opinion?
Nah, he just threw it up in the air, that's why I didn't make a thread or anything. Just thought I would share it here to see if he ends up being right.

a team with Simmons, Joel, Kawhi and Lebron will destroy the league, there is no adjustment problem when the talent is much better than that of any other team (yes, they will be at least 1 level above the current warriors). no team will break 100 points against this core

If Simmons was what it took to get LeBron and Leonard he's gone. That fanbase has had its fill of the process it wants to win now. Imagine a couple million Ghost Writers.

They wouldn't trade Simmons for 2-3 years of LeBron's prime. And no way LeBron would go there without Simmons. Simmons is what would make Philly attractive to him. Look how frustrated LeBron was with the complete lack of ball handlers in Cleveland the last couple of years.

And then you do if they offer Tatum. You're not getting Simmons, he's likely as untouchable as Curry.

A healthy Kawhi is >>>> than either Simmons or Davis. To get a healthy Kawhi to pair with LBJ? Pops should ask for Simmons.

Ah I see. I doubt it's true but it would be pretty funny if it was and a broken down Kawhitter ends up with the Lakers.

Is Phila really going to ship out a 22-year-old generational talent because he’s “redundant” with a guy that has two or three years left in his prime?
Lebron going to bring mystique and tons of more money not to mention a lot more championship level experience. Basically do you want to win in 1 or 2 years or do you wait another 5 or 6? I think Philly is in win now mode.

Boston's window is slammed shut if Philly gets LeBron and Leonard to team with Simmons, Embiid, Covington, Red , Beli, plus whatever ring chasers they can land.
No way. Boston is teeming with talent. LeBron is on the downslope of his career, and Kawhi's status as a player, healthwise and desire to play outside of LA, are very much in question.

Damn Bruce...now whatever Bowen said is all over the news. We know Leonard has a frail ego now. So it doesnt help when current or former players talk sh1t even if its true because then all the San Antonio news stations report it as “Spurs player BLAST Leonard”ect... its not helping.

2 - 3 years of prime but at least 5 years of all star championship level bball as well. Who knows how long Embiid will last. I feel big men like him won't last very long either. Idk. I'm not on the lebron is the greatest bandwagon but Simmons for him is a no brainer for if you can get a more than 2 year commitment from Lebron. Pressure for Sixers to finally win a championship is big.

Depends on your definition of helping. Hopefully it either pushes his frail ego to the side which causes him to suck it up and become the leader of the franchise he has to be. Or it will cause him to go further into his s .

If he's going to take home $219M, he damn well be able and willing to answer some questions from the media. He needs to learn to expand his answers and have a bit of personality too.

I don't think what Bowen said was that bad. Just reiterating that the Spurs do have his best interests in mind. But it could have been a worded differently, I guess.

I can tell you right now, LA sports radio is freaking out due to the Spurs' silence.

Good things come to those who wait.

One of two things is true: Kawhi Leonard gets butthurt like a little at the least criticism of his outrageous behavior, in which case he hardly has a chance to make it halfway through a season in LA unless LeBron is there to wipe his bib...
    OR
His being “upset” is just a pretext anyway, and his true motivations have nothing to do with what Parker, Bowen, or anybody else says.

Bowen, DRob, RC saying these things are the Spurs way of prepping the fanbase for the inevitable trade. Hey, we tried, he just wouldn't be reasonable. Now introducing your newest Spurs...

Agreed. 1983 since their last championship. If you can get LeBron and Kawhi now, I’d give up Simmons if what it takes. Again Lebron/Simmons don’t compliment each other. Simmons will be the odd man.

after reading buford's comments from last night it's clear that RC's thoughts were carefully worded so as to include kawhi's family as being important in the process. he also took the time to assume some responsibility for the current mess.

Pop doesn't want to finish his career rebuilding. The rebuild starts with any Leonard trade.

Watch what happens next — if LeBron re-ups 1+1 in Cleveland, and George does the same in OKC, it means the three of them are punting for the year and waiting out the end of Kawhi’s contract before they all go to LA.
You think Kawh is going to give up over 80 million?? Unless someone is taking a discount La can’t afford 3 max deals
