Read somewhere the next world cup qualifiers will merge conmebol 4.5 spots with top 3 concacaf spots and there will be 10 in total. Concacaf since there are many more countries will have a 2nd tier mini qualifier and the top countries will go on to the 1st tier to match up against conmebol

proof that vegas is for americans who have no understanding of the game, in which japan was drastically more disciplined than senegal, constructing better play, creating more chances, not relying on monkeyball but on solid football.
Also the last goal was a consequence of a way too adventurous keeper, who all throughout the match made the mistake of attacking balls without communicating with his defenders. Imo Japan plays the better football, they just can't finish worth a . All that athletic tall explosive advantage of senegal is null when discipline doesn't exist.

I took a draw and won, tbh

Not because I know anything(I'm just a casual soccer fan), but because the line was moving heavily in Japan's favor, despite the public being all over Senegal..

I actually thought Japan outplayed them heavily and should have came away with more than a draw..Japan and Korea both have a nice, disciplined counter-attack, I also thought Korea should have came away with a draw against Mexico yesterday.

since '17 they've fallen and now show no discipline or composure and are playing crazy wing tactics against fast wings teams like colombia or senegal.
also this is combined with netherlands and italy falling of a ing cliff in '15 and in '16.
poland also gamed the ranking by playing for results on friendlies with hand picked opponents while other teams want friendlies just to test tactics or new players.

so a combination of factors tbh.
