Do you mean next year's Spurs?
Mr. "There are more important things in life than basketball" would be back to running the Spurs front office full time so it's doubtful.
whoever replaces pop won’t last more than three sessons. I think it’ll be Ettore.
I appreciate yall being so open and progressive but Becky should not be the 1st coach after Pop that is not even fair to her.
Personally not sure I think that is a border that needs to be crossed. And if she is that great a coach let her dominate in college and or WNBA and prove herself. She has never coached as the #1 on a high level and did not play in the NBA... Not sure she deserves the HC gig so soon if we are being honest about it.
TP got some head, tbh.
Interesting option![]()
LOL at the idea of Tony winning a game of HORSE.
What do you think NBA coaches do?
Anyway the idea is to promote from within after ettore declines to coach a tank. Ime udoka is also above her, but lacks personality. Playing for the first female coach would be motivation I think.
Her shoe collection is superb.
She is part of Pop's coaching tree and his legacy. Mentor to the first female NBA head coach is no small thing.
she is not first in line; she is not even second in line.
Is she lesbian? Asking for a friend
You might be right but she is talented. And she was getting nods to interview for HC jobs everywhere so Pop was about to lose another talented coach.
she has girlfriend. nice couple
Vs. a retired WNBA player with getting his wet as a reward? Why not?
Isnt it her college coach?
She better be Pop's successor..Spurs would get every call and the league would do all they can to push them, would be great..
I’m pretty damn good at HORSE.
Did that stop the Jason Kidds or Jeff Hornacek, etc of the world?
They both played in the league Becky did not.
Not saying she should not get a shot if she proves herself... But if the Spurs are a top job (I say yes) why would she get it unproven? KIDD AND Hornacek can use their playing experience to counter lack of proven coaching experience... She has neither. Occasionally that works like with Spoelstra... But even the Miami job isn't as big as this one.
She probably doesn't get past H O.
