I thought RJ would give the spurs a legit big 4 and they would on the Lakers![]()
I once thought Charles Smith was going to be the answer alongside a prime/young DRob![]()

This is a thread asking for people to give their worst takes and sagirl is in here calling people out. I wish she would disappear again.
I have a million posts, volume take giver, so there are plenty, I can only remember the latest egregious onesprobably that Paul and Harden wouldn't co-exist..
RJ trade, but that was more of a teenaged homer take that most shared..
For a take that wasn't shared with the public, I'd go with thinking this year's Raptors and the 2015 Hawks could beat LeBron![]()
In due time my friend.
You amateurs don't know how to fail
Saying CP3 and Harden wouldn't be able to mesh well together.
I believed that as well. One bad back away from possibly being true. How the Spurs medical staff ever gave their stamp of approval on that boggles the mind.
I thought KD was too skinny to be a star.
I also never thought Tony Parker would be the winningest player of all time in the NBA (minimum 1000 games), outplay and sweep the GOAT in the Finals (2007), and lead his team to a championship as the only All-Star and All-NBA player while leading the team in scoring in the RS, playoffs, & Finals against a superteam (2014).
I see a lot of people can't handle this thread.
Pre-Spurs talk, I thought Dwayne Schintzius would be a quality starting Center.
Spurstalk, I really disliked the Dejounte Murray pick and thought the Spurs should have picked Zhou Qi.
Guys have shied away from posting their own bad takes, (then get upset with me if I call some out, not even in a mean way, bc there have been way more funny blunders than the ones shared in here.)
I liked Murray predraft (have to remember he was drafted at 29)... and I have believed in his potential, but I was MASSIVELY, HUGELY disappointed in his performance last summer league. Not that it was the be all-end all, but I really expected more from him. He played like the worst summer league guy in the team. He was totally off ... In retrostpect he may have been distracted by trade rumors or other things going on. Notoriously, he was held out and played very little while the team featured Bryn Forbes (!)... Still I was very disappointed...
You only get disappointed in a guy when you expect more. Anyways, he's improved a lot and still has my hopes up for his development. He may indeed be star material if he develops offensively.
Still pre-mature, but if Kawhi is wanting to leave and willing to lose $80 million in the process- then all my takes on 'he's coming back' are pretty bad.
I was right about Jimmer being the better option than Parker. I don't tend to have "worst" takes even when I'm going against the grain.
