So far all of the offers have been buy low attempts.

No need to make a deal, getting stuck with dog instead of nothing hardly cons utes a win.

If the trade is for Tobias Harris I'm going to cry. He isn't a top 20 player in my opinion.
He isn't even close to top 20 in anybody's opinion

I just don't understand why they'd now deal with the Clippers when they should've taken the draft day deal.
Exactly. The time to trade with the Clippers was on draft day then the Spurs draft the players they like.

Outside Warriors roster, Harden, Russ, CP3, Lillard, CJ, PG13..Booker is a top 20? Not sure...Boogie is injured...

    Better make a list.

Guys and SAGirl, I don't know if this is good new or bad news on the Kawhi front, but here goes....

This thread needs a glimmer of hope. Within the last hour, through connection to a clothing brand that LeBron has stake in, heard that he intends to stay with Cavs on a max deal. Info supposedly coming straight from LBJ's camp in the Carribbean. Same source nailed the 2010 and 2014 decisions FYI.

I don't believe that at all. But it would suggest KL is not going to LA.

I guess C's didn't have a "rapid" rebuilding but agree with you on the many opportunities this trade gives...
If only the lakers would have taken Jayson Tatum over Ball! Why?!?!? If the lakers would have drafted better of late we could’ve got a kings ransom because we have LA by the nuts. I just don’t think PATFO is that enamored with LA’s assets. I wish Boston was as desperate as LA - they are the ones that have the appealing assets.

ty or not if you trade with the Clippers, draft day made more sense than now. The Spurs might end up with a worse trade than the Clippers offer.

LA based talking head says it so it must be true. Looks like a good time to get a head start on a holiday week.

Celtics too doubtful on Kawhi's health, which makes sense. They are also overrating their own players.

    Boston are fine on paper

But I'll laugh so hard at Ainge when he realizes Hayward isn't that great and it'll take a whole season to get him and Irving in form after their surgeries.

You will regret not trading for Kawhi, Danny!

    "Free Kawhi" is such bull

They cleared him to play, they could have forced the issue but let him skulk away to get other side of the country to get foam rolled while he sobbed into a towel

That's what happens when you treat people too well. Now the Spurs are the villains in the narrative

Agreed. This is going to be interesting. I’m a huge Kawhi fan (or was) and I think him requesting a trade is a blessing in disguise for the Spurs. Let’s face it, this current team with kawhi isn’t going anywhere. We have a chance to come away with a franchise altering trade that could set us up for a rapid rebuild a la the Celtics. We have to get this right. This is our chance to keep our playoff streak alive for another 20 years. I’m trusting in PATFO..
You’re kidding right? Spurs were at WCF last year and Kawhi got injured. It’s too bad that Kawhi requested a trade and orchestrated this whole thing, but now FO is trying to salvage the pieces and not be mediocre, but not better than if all these drama did not happen. Btw, you ungrateful Kawhi and your greedy Uncle Dennis.

    That's not overly surprising.
They've got a young core on cheap contracts. Good upcoming picks and no guarantee he would resign with them.
Also saw earlier today they have concerns about his long term health.
