$40 something million for next 4 years. (10.5 next and just under 13 in 21/22). Why tie up that much cap space in someone who we don't know how will work in the Spurs system?
Are we sending Pau/patty out as well?
Are they jerking each other off?

Wojtek agrees with LkrFan:
Then there's this:
I hate this. As much as I'd like to see Maginka poach the Spurs' franchise player, BI is my pet cat. He's not even old enough to buy some Old E![]()
Lowe is part of the Mouse Agenda
Because 10M per year isn't bad for an athletic 27 year old who can defend and shoots 37% from 3.
I think there will be options to trade Pau or Mills in a few weeks after free agency starts to wind down.
Woj says the threshold the Spurs have for a Kawhi trade is high right now. -- Grant Goldberg -- lakers guy
lol at thinking spurs will trade him for nothing
Spurs not getting any real value, simple, don’t trade him.
They're trying really hard. They might blow it and he doesn't go to the Lakers.
he's a proven player in the league, and his contract is friendlier than the one green signed a few years ago. he wouldn't be hard to flip if push came to shove
Even better reason not to be cucked by the LakeShow.
Maybe there’s a lesson to be learned from this ethically challenged twad. You sign a contract you honor it.
Odds he's traded this weekend?
He’s very expendable if you get both Lebron and Kawhi. There’s only one ball, LeBron is your creator, and Simmons wants to shoot less than Anderson does.
Adam Silver should intervene and just put Kawhi on the Lakers so that espn can suck eachothers s from happiness.
Lowe said the Spurs simply aren’t getting any deals they like because teams like BOS and PHI aren’t offering much since Kawhi’s likely a 1-year rental.
Woj added teams are trying to get a feel for if Kawhi would even “consider re-signing after next season,” and these teams are just struggling to get any sort of answer right now. They aren’t confident.
Yeah, but Lebron is going to last a couple years while Simmons will last over a decade.
Considerations would have to be made.
So that's why they have to rape the Lakers for the best deal available?
No he’s not. Convingtons deal is very fair in this new cap environment. It dips this year, and then is replacement value for a solid 3D player. He’s the Danny Green replacement.
More importantly the inclusion of convington suggests a bigger deal where Patty/pau get added. If the spurs send out Patty, Forbes, Paul, in exchange for Covington, Fultz, Bayless, Saric, and picks, that’s about 6M in cap savings for Philly which would help for Lebron.
Teams like Bos and Phil won't have a chance to land Leonard (he's made his intentions known he wants LA) if the Spurs decide just to hold on to him...
Fultz is a far superior prospect to Murray.. he needs to be in the trade.. and if the Spurs ask for him as the deal breaker Philly will include him imo..
Philly then goes to Bron’s camp and tells him they have a deal in place for Kawhi and will pull the trigger if Bron commits to Philly.
Fultz + Covington + Saric + best 1st is a pretty good haul for Kawhi.
And Philly has to be ok with giving that if it means Embiid-Simmons-Kawhi-Lebron ... heck even WITHOUT LeBron.. that trio would be the clear favourite to win the East and would challenge the Warriors.
