I think I caught the beginning of it but never saw how it turned out. I have to keep looking now, though.![]()
The problem is that Bron just Uncle Dennis'd the Lakers into a decision, except their daddy ain't a gold digging nobody.

Pack your heavy coat, Kawhi. Philly gets pretty cold in the winter.
My buddy Eric Cisnerio already reported its a done deal. Spursfans still hoping for kawhi to stay?![]()
How exactly does this take leverage away from the Spurs? Lebron was going to opt out that was a given. All indication are PG is signing with OKC. Is Lebron signing with the Lakers and spend a year with Ingram, Lonzo, Kusma and the ghost of Luol Dang while Leonard is somewhere else?
I'd let GM LeBron figure out who stays and who he wants out before trading with them since he's been historically a horrible judge of talent tbh
Not buying it. What "bank" do the Lakers really have? A handful of overrated prospects and future middle 1st round picks? The timeline also doesn't fit. Any bank the Lakers would come with would have to included a high lottery pick, which they likely would've gotten by trading Ball (i.e. trading Ball to Phoenix for their 2019 1st round pick, which likely would be a top 5ish). Since Ball wasn't floated by the Lakers, I think they probably tried to get Leonard for virtual peanuts.
Just send him to Philly and get it over with, and hope that Philly takes out Ainge/Celtics next year. In the meantime, Magic and LA can spin their wheels trying to land Lebron and Paul George--which would leave precious little money for Kawhi next year...and if Kawhi still wants to go to LA, let him leave money on the table.
Aww did I hurt the little
snow flakes feeling?
What are the pieces
Yeah I think the Flakers are trying to get George to land Lebron but I am not giving K-Y for the they have been offering.
At least somebody's happy...
Can someone tell me how the LeBron letting the Cavs know he will opt out gives the Lakers leverage? Pretty sure that was always the plan or where those same media members pumping out their "where will Lebron end up" stories while assuming he opts in?
i forgot this:
Spurs guard Tony Parker apologized Monday after he drew criticism for a photograph depicting him flashing the "quenelle" gesture, a French hand signal that is said to represent a reverse Nazi salute.
Exactly. Same goes for Philly. They make a move for Kawhi to lure LeBron. They are essentially trying to get two of the TOP 5 players via Kawhi Leonard trade. You have to look at like that if your the Spurs and play hardball. Don't settle for an unknown like Fultz and an overrated player like Covington.
lakers can use their trade "assets" for kawhi. and then sign lebron.
instead of the lakers having to trade for both of them.
Off limits lol, what a pussified world we live in now.
Well I just want to state that it doesn’t matter if you or anyone here thinks that they’re overrated prospects. If PATFO thinks otherwise then maybe they did consider this as a whole “bank” compared to other offers. Not saying this report is true I’m just speaking for the people who don’t know which prospects PATFO thinks highly of.
Wouldn’t it be against league rules to communicate with a free agent before the start of free agency. I hope one day somebody busts teams for this kind of stuff. Shady stuff in this league.
It’s not LeBron. It’s “his people” communicating through back-channels. Teams do it all the time.
You really think teams and players don’t communicate whatsoever until Free Agency begins?
Rachel Nichols on the Lowe Post podcast took the brave stand that tampering rules should be abolished. All tampering should be legal and allowed.
If this comment...
was the "last straw" for Kawhi, then good luck to him with any other team.
Weak, weak excuse.
Tony's comment was such an aside, such a non-issue, that no one should have even made note of it.
But I would bet that Kawhi has never even seen the video/interview. He just has people whispering to him about the horrible things his teammates and coach said about him.
Remember, Kawhi is a guy who had never even heard of the crying Jordan meme. I doubt he even knows how to get on the internet.
Who the has even mentioned that LeBron would go to LA via trade? He holds the power with his player option, not sure why anybody would assume that there was ever a chance he would give that up.
He's always been a piece of crap
