You realize how difficult it is to play in Philly, right? LA fans are super casual relatively speaking. Though if you put in hard work with no BS (the old Kawhi) then Philly loves you.
The Phila media is different from bag wop Eagle fan. I think you’ve nailed it... they love hard work, no BS guys who do the little things right. Super knowledgeable too. Don’t care nearly as much about personalities, drama, soap opera crap as NY or LA. But they have high expectations.

Frankly, I’m not sure how Stephen A. Smith came out of there.

Lebron offers to commit to 76ers if Leonard signs. Spurs trade Leonard for Fultz, Saric Miami pick, +/- Smith.

    Lakers enter rebuild dream 5.

Here is the bottom line. LAL cannot make up for the putrid drafting the last 5 years with a couple of free agents that are old and/or injured.

They are a horrible organization right now. Dr. Buss is DEAD and not coming back.

He didn't -- he's from NYC. He just worked for the Phiadelphia Inquirer for a while.

Have to say Ive lived all over the US and the sports fans in Philly (pick your sport) are the most fanatical, hard core fans in the country. They love their winners and will murder losers. Something about eating Tastycakes and drinking Birch Beer I think.

Philly's a hole. Yes nice spots like Center City, Main Line, but still.

First place a call to Ainge. Spurs would be in a very good spot.

Most cities are holes by your definition. Philly has a LOT more to offer than most NBA cities. Yes, there are really bad areas. But outside of probably Salt Lake City, which NBA cities don’t?

Lebron going to Philly OR Lakers would have crazy expectations. Championship starved or living up to the number of banners in the rafters.

LeBron staking his joining the Sixers to trading for Leonard would be incredible. Spurs would likely see their 'top 20 player' return met.

My thinking Lebron going to 76ers is contingent to him on Leonard also signing there triggering the whole cascade. If Lebron was to sign with Philly independent of Leonard let Boston and Philly battle it out.

You are never in a good spot when you are the party making the call. Wait. Ainge would definitely make the call - and waste little time doing so.

Lebron really is in a pickle. If he goes to the Lakers he becomes a baby sitter. The only player the Lakers seem to be able to get interest from is a center who may not be able to play but 1/4th a season. I think his best shot actually would be to sign with Philly, and then Philly pull the Leonard trade. That would firmly put Lebron where he wants to be in regards to basketball.
Agree, but even Philly isn't the best. This would be amazing in LA if they couldn't even get LeBron. Suicides.

Agreed. They can now also add Danny instead of mills if Philly prefers.

The OKC triumph should give Philly some
Hope. That team fits Leonarda temperament so much better too.
That's interesting, thought one could argue which they would need/want more. Mills, in terms of the cap is actually on a good deal going forward and with Simmons and Kawhi handing the ball plus Embiid in the post, having a shooter like Mills is useful but Green provides a 3&D element and isn't on a long term deal-though they would have his bird rights.

I think PATFO would probably add Mills to that deal because if Fultz were to be coming back, there simply wouldn't be guard minutes around to justify a Murray, Mills, Parker Fultz, Beli, Green rotation- not to mention White and Walker.

Yes, however it plays out both Philly and Boston will want Leonard and want to prevent the other from acquiring him. That's how you get real value back. One party is likely to blink.

Even without Leonard I would go to Philly if the goal was strictly to win a few more rings. They have the youthful parts in place. The Laker players seem to care more about playing off the court than on the court and are way too immature to get anywhere near a ring.

If LeBron seems headed to/strongly considering Philly expect to hear that Ainge is reconsidering what Celtics can offer for Leonard. Which is as we've known the best case scenario for the Spurs this summer.
Ainge would rather smell his own farts than be serious about this deal.

Blowing all those drafts hits them hard. There's no team culture, just guys wondering what the is going on.

I think what people are overlooking is that PG developed a bond with Russ. Kawhi doesn’t bond with anyone.

True but possibly the motivation for Leonard to sign would require the presence of Lebron.

In a personal level I’d rather see Philly than the Celtics contend. Maybe Jabari Young would move back to Philly.

Maybe Kawhi can have fun with Embiid or Simmons? You know since that's one of the reasons he wants to leave.

Simple. Philly gives Uncle Dennis a front office position.

The main barrier to Lebron to Philly is fit on the court. He’s not an ideal fit with Simmons.
