What about this?... Did not go through the last 10 pages so don't know if it was posted already.
Kiwi ready to sit out next season if he isn't traded.

If Kawhi really wants to go to the Lakers and if the Lakers really want him, them you set that threshold really high. If the Lakers don't meet that threshold then you walk away. The Spurs could trade him at the deadline for a team that is one player away from making the Finals.

Funny thing is yesterday they announced they were not offering Ingram now its Kuzma. Lakers must be taking the Spurs for straight chumps. Dont blame them. Everything reeks shady business all the way to Kawhi's "sit out". All this strong arming leaks are making things worse. Spurs, RC, and Pop will not be strongarmed.

Quitting on one whole season was already a bad look. Quitting on two seasons in a row would be a PR disaster - plus, who knows how good he'd even be once he decided to start playing again.

He’ll sit him this year and threaten to sue him for breach of contract for not playing last year. It’s a fact issue as to whether or not he was healthy enough to play. File it here in SA and let a SA jury decide if Kawhi’s doctor was right or if the Spurs doctors were right.

No other team is going to give the Spurs anything good for one year of Leonard.

Working on public relations and news is great. Slip them a Benjamin and they use their “influence” to stir up trade talks.

From the realgm article: “Smith also reports that Leonard could even sit out the 18-19 season if he's not traded to the Lakers. Smith clarified that he's heard this from other executives and not directly from Leonard on that report.”

True, but the Lakers know that if they don't get Kawhi now, they throw one year away of being a contender, as Lebron just gets older.

Anything you say means jack . You said Kawhi isn’t a top 5 player. You’ve lost all credibility. I hope Kawhi inks a supermax deal with the spurs, and you end up turning in your membership card, got.

Let him sit. Litigate on basis of breach of contract and tie him up in the courts (Is that doable? Any lawyers care to chime in?)--let him waste his prime until the case is resolved.

So what, they got James and will build some other players this year and get Leonard next year anyways. The Spurs are going to cave and trade him for Laker scraps, just wait and see 1-2-3.

And some in here will even be excited with the Lakers players coming to San Antonio as they are front office homers.

He isn't a top 5 player. I listed all the players who are better.

Why would the Spurs essentially help the Lakers win a championship and at the same time throw in the towel on the season by handing over Kawhi? Because he's supposedly threatening to sit? Because the Lakers set a deadline? I don't believe Pop and R.C are that week or dumb. They want to remain compe ive. If they give into that supposed trade offer by the Lakers then they obviously won't remain compe ive.

Yeah, I think this just means that what slim chance there was of a deal between the Spurs and the Lakers just went to 0%.

You have to think that Philly is still willing. Unfortunately, their offer will be pretty crappy at this point.

Having Leonard sit or give him up for garbage? Let him sit, the Spurs will be a first round exit either way. At least forcing him to stay makes a rival weaker. LA has no leverage here.

I love the San Antonio Spurs organization, how they build their team and run their organization. I also have a tremendous amount of respect for PATFO. I do think I can ever forgive KL for the position he puts the Spurs in.

Pretty sure Lebron was stat padding last year and making everyone his eventual scapegoat to losing to the warriors. Lebron will finish his career as a Laker and finally play in a leader type Tim Duncan / Magic Johnson type role.
