Also, I doubt Philly has enough cap to create three max slots..They already gave Embiid a max contract, would have to give Kawhi one next offseason, and Simmons other the next.

Under no cir stance is giving up Fultz while keeping Simmons/Embiid and adding Kawhi compromising your future.

Connections with LA real estate guys, etc. There's some truth that proximity builds relationships with business guys that can move mountains tbh. You look at KD and his connections to Silicon Valley. Sure they're a conference call way from getting investments/deals finalized but running in the same circles, going to the same networking events regularly isn't something that can be completely ignored. I'm with you and it seems a little naive on Kawhi's part to believe that but him and Uncle Dennis are getting taken for a ride. If the son of a real estate mogul says you only get access to these deals by being in LA / NY, who are Kawhi and re Uncle Dennis to believe otherwise. Kawhi doesn't know about the business side of things and Dennis probably couldn't manage a Dairy Queen.
I don't understand why they appear to have Fultz off limits. They barely played him last season and they would be adding Kawhi to Simmons/Embiid like you said. He has been working really hard and has alot of potential but why wouldn't Philly go at the chance right now? If he ends up in LA they probably won't be able to ever get him. And they have a good chance of making the finals with that team.

He said that there's a general belief amongst the Lakers organisation that the leak came from the Ball camp.
He also mentions that there were a lot of teams looking to make a deal with the Lakers, those teams are now having a lot of questions about this injury.
So Lavar may have blocked a Lakers/Kawhi deal? It had been reported that they were trying to trade Lonzo for picks which would be included in a Kawhi deal. Right after that it got leaked that he had the injury.
The only reason Philly hasn't said yes to a deal is that Pop probably told Brett that this guy and his group are bad ing news and I don't want to pawn this off on you.

Ya, I've been saying this for months..I was annoyed by Kawhi at first, but the more obvious it became that he's being taken advantage of, the less I've criticized him..I don't care at all anymore, tbh..
