I am starting to like PG Nick
Johnson he has never really dominated games but he always has about 15 pts a game with assist and always has a positive percentage. I would say he is the third best player on the team White,Hillard, Nick

Another SG in the body of a PG. Not sure which stats you are looking at but the guy is shooting 35.5% from the field and 35.9% from 3 for the season, that's impressively bad. His previous seasons weren't much better.

Shame, he showed some decent growth in the G-League last season. But with Blossomgame and Metu there probably wasn't any space for him anymore.

    Not necessarily.

He should earn more per year compared to a G-League or two-way contract but most likely still quite a bit less than a minimum NBA contract. Asvel's total budget for player salaries last season was approx. 2.7 million € (https://www.eurohoops.net/en/proa/52...ets-favorites/).

i have no hopes for blossomgame either. metu showing a jump shot is very intriguing though. he's a much better prospect than cady was

LJC finally looked like he was recovering his form last season. Can probably end up on a higher level Euro team. Metu looks even more promising than Bertans if he can develop his perimeter skills.

Bertans was only promising under the premise that he would be one of the better spot up shooters in the league given his height, quick release, and ability to move around. Not a great defender but has enough effort/athleticism to make plays here and there.

But if he's not going to be among the league leaders in 3pt%, that intrigue fades pretty quick.

But for catastrophic leg injury. I know you you may just be omitting small details but I hate when posters imply that players like John Charles and James Anderson were not good picks when they were good pre injury prospects. It just shows lack of empathy and ignorance

    lol

from what i remember it was characterized as a severe sprain. not even something like an ACL tear. which happened to bertans twice. he was drafted after a season where he put up averages like 3 points and 3 rebounds per game in the french league which isn't particularly loaded with talent.

he wasn't some hyper athletic prospect at the time he was drafted that was suddenly sapped of his athletic ability that he never recovered. he always had a good frame/wingspan and moved well for his size, but he wasn't some generational athlete. spurs wanted to go with a draft and stash at the time, and the guy wouldn't have been on the radar but for the hoops summit game

San Antonio Spurs 2013 NBA Draft pick Livio Jean-Charles underwent surgery to repair his torn right knee ACL yesterday according to French site EuroSport.com.

Thanks for clearing that up. It was a long time ago but I remember he had surgery and lost a full season of his development recovering from it. Anyways wish him the best. Metu looks more promising atm.

James Anderson started his rookie season looking like a very good 3rd year rotational player. His injury was a serious disappointment.

6 month timetable from a torn ACL?

    seems light
Surgery, if chosen, “takes you out for the rest of the season,” and rehabilitation lasts about six to 12 months, says Teuscher, who is also a partner at the Beaumont Bone and Joint Ins ute and team physician for the NCAA Division I athletic teams at Lamar University in Texas.

i'm just speaking out of memory when it comes to pro athletes... 6 months seems extraordinarily light. the quickest acl tear recovery i can remember was adrian peterson going down late december and playing the next season on opening day. that was a little more than 8 months though

but yeah if i was wrong about livio's injury than i was wrong.

the primary point i was making is that he didnt suffer the type of injury that turned him from a great athlete into a lesser one. acl tear recoveries have become fairly standard and players dont come back worse for the wear

Yeah but it still takes them time to recover also add that it takes months off their schedule of being physical fit and playing basketball. So you add that Livio was a late bloomer to basketball probably first serious injury he has ever had and then trying to make the Spurs that is a hard road to walk.

He was drafted based on that one game and to be honest he has sucked some is from injury and some he just was not ready. But I give the kid credit he is still trying to make team and even though he was not on a contract still played in Austin and to be honest he played really good. He seemed a lot more confident and was able to do multiple things as far as showing up on stats, rebounds, scoring, assist. If he can improve upon last season then it will be interesting him and Metu battling it out.

As far as White I was saying last year he should have been our PG unlike some people I won't mention names..lol

Do we really need another short shooting guard? Or is this the Spurs just giving away money?
