I don't like Beadle for a lot of reasons, but god damn if she doesn't tow that line.
Maybe Kawhi's camp saw LaMarcus Aldridge and moan and get an extension and appreciation while Kawhi was out. Maybe Uncle Ruckus and their camp want the same for Kawhi and then some. Like some "Star Focus" to raise his profile higher; for more endorsements, award recognition. Regardless, if Kawhi wants out, he has to play and show he is healthy. Therefore to the benefit of both parties, Kawhi has to show up to camp, play thru at least January, and show how he is healthy and then the offers will come in. But the SPurs will be betting Kawhi's camp will play nice.

She's not aging gracefully...espn will have to move her to radio soon
the video is not available in my country..so what did she say?
OH SNAP!
If the Spurs can't get Brandom Ingram, I would take the Kyrie deal, with a boat load of picks. With the intention to trade Kyrie to NY(where he truly wants to be); and take Kevin knox and Enes Kanter. Not about the talent, its bout ending the drama and setting the team for the future with youth.
1)Thinking POR would trade Dame for anything less than Ingram/Kuz/Hart + picks like SA is asking for
2)at using those same assets for Dame over Kawhi
But hey, way to call SA’s bluff by using those same assets to land a far inferior player to Kawhi when you also burned a #2 pick on Lonzo and also just signed RondoGreat use of assets!
I hope other reports start repeating what Beadle said.
You more of a Ramona man, huh DD?
I think Mic e Beale said exactly what the majority of fans have been feeling, even the hardest Kawhi supporters like myself. Good for her
What's not to like?
You missed the boat completely.
LOL Everyone has their preferences...
tbh they both should be grazing in the field
Pretty good. Kawhi is still a Spur and not a Laker and Lakers are about to use their only assets to obtain Lillard which means not enough cap space for Kawhi next year![]()
Nah - I didn’t. I have a firm understanding of the situation, LA’s cap situation and their overall roster construction
Worst case scenario, the Spurs keep Leonard and suspend/fine if needed. He can leave next offseason short 80mil and play with a 35yo LeBron or a terrible Clippers team.
It accelerates the Spurs rebuild once he's gone since we don't have to take on trash players like Kuzma...
Lot of happens in 1yr, lot of . Time time last year, Kawhi was untouchable![]()
Bull my ass.
The story has been previously reported but simply was not represented in a nad way since the spurs staff was trying to fix the relationship in a good way...the evidence of this is that also Jalen Rose, that we can not say has been exactly on the Spurs side in this matter (he was the one triyng to use the race card against Pop) has given this as a fact already known by a long time.
So Kiwhi's camp can say what they want, but these are behavior transaled in facts, that can not be misunderstood again in a good sense for them...their manipulation of the situation is coming out and is putting a real dark cloud on all of them...
F’N Love it!
Even if LA traded Lonzo, Kuzma, Ingram, Hart AND Deng for Lillard, and only had Lebron, Lillard & Wagner under contract next season and renounced everyone else’s cap holds/bird rights, LA would only have 29M in cap space. Kawhi’s max is 32M.
It’s the boomerang effect I think all this is going to start be directed at K-Y group. They going to start feeling the burn real quick.
And we ain’t trading his ass until we get a really good offer![]()
Kawhi is a Spur for one more year--a year in which we all know will net you nothing in the end. If you think the Lakers are actually dealing for Lillard with that package then you disappoint me. Like the poster above originally said, it's just gamesmanship. You desperately need Kawhi Leonard, whereas we could take him or leave him...especially with the plethora of FA's available in 2019.
Enjoy your final year with him before he moves on to another organization that doesn't alienate its superstars.
The best thing ever for the Spurs would be LA trading for Lillard. It is the single most important lever LA has right now; that we don’t have to trade for kawhi because we have max cap space for him to walk to us next year.
If that goes away, the threat of Kawhi coming in FA is reduced and other teams will start to step up their offers.
Especially if POR isn’t willing to take on Deng (even with getting Ingram, Kuz, Lonzo, Hart to do so) then it’s even worse. Any player LA keeps out of Ingram/Kuz/Lonzo/Hart also eats into that 29M cap space.
I know that. Why do you think I pointed out the empty threat. SA isn’t dumb, that posturing from LA is stupid because SA is praying they do that
