I agree on Kawhi on all fronts...we don't know where his head or body is at right now, which devalues what you can get in return for him. I'm all for having him audition on some team for a year to prove he was the player he was before all this drama, before rashly signing him with a high risk potential.

He could end up on either LA team, Philly, whomever, but it won't be the Spurs come next offseason, and that alone brings a smile to my face
    why?

Not at all. I’m just saying SA has the asset. A valuable asset. SA may end up losing him for nothing, but as long as he’s not a Laker I’m good
and that's my same feeling, brother...as long as he shuns your franchise I can live with wherever he goes

Say what you want about Kawhi, I don't think he'd want to sit out an entire year again.

There has to be some compe ive bone left in his body and if Uncle Dennis says hey you can't go to Team USA camps, you can't go to Spurs training camp, you can't play this season....well that might just be the nudge needed to break the spell

No matter what Pop’s got em cornered. You gonna face the music one way or another.

That dude has abandoned his Lakers Dom to be Trump's personal fluffer. He posts almost as much as he used to here when in repeat mode thanking Trump for Maga and polishing his balls on every move good or bad.
EVEN casually political black liberals never did this with Obama.
You are one of the good ones Stuck around, called out not wanting PG before he spurned LA vs other fans wanting him then acting like he sucks only AFTER he decided to stay in OKC.

Happy for you that you landed Bron.

This entire saga makes me appreciate TD even more. Spurs need a statue or name the court after him after this ordeal.

The difference is we would expect to suck if Kawhi leaves. If LA keeps Ingram/Kuzma over Kawhi and they don’t ring with Lebron on their team? Oh boyyyyyyy. The hot takes are coming!

He's not 100 percent innocent, but you'd expect an organization like the Spurs to handle it like men rather than have their freeloading vets bad mouth him to the press on Pop's orders
You’re funny guy; because that’s what this is all about....... We’ll see how long that smile stays on your face.

Let me ask you this and I know you will answer honestly:

Do you really think Kawhi, especially knowing he will re-sign with the Lakers and getting him a full year early, isn’t worth Ingram/Kuz/Ball + draft picks that will be in the late 20s?

I get it, but I actually think the Spurs would be worse off with him. Supermax that guy and you are held hostage to that contract and all you have is the hope that he will try and live up to it. If the Lakers give him the max in free agency, you never know what he will do when that media light shines on him and he starts feeling the pressure. To be honest, I mirror Wright, I hope he gets traded to LA so he sees what he had and lost in SA. And I hope we get Ingram and a few picks along the way.

Wasn't the deal 2-3 draft picks plus another 2 draft swaps? no. I don't want to be the team to make a Herschel Walker 2.0 trade

Quit hating for once. Leonard is damaged goods & a cancer, Ingram is a star in the making. Aside from Tatum, there is not a better young prospect the Spurs could hope for.

As a Spur fan, I'd honestly say I don't know. The guy is coming of an "injury" and he is run by a bunch of amateurs that don't mind sabotaging a team to get their way. If they can't deal with Pop and the Spurs, a group that notoriously is pro-player, how are they going to react to a Laker organization that has been garbage since Jerry West left them.

Walker was in his absolute prime for 4-5 more years?

I’m asking you, if the deal was Ingram/Lonzo/Kuz and let’s say 2 first round picks (no additional swaps), do you think it’s worth it for Kawhi?

Lakers have been tampering to get Kawhi. They know he won’t be that way with him and that he’s healthy.

I wouldn't bet on it. It's not normal to have a player tell a team paying him $18 million that he can't play because he's "injured" and then run and hide when that team comes to check up on his "injury."

With a guarantee that he resigns long-term? It would be a tough decision but I'm a gambler and would probably roll the dice.

My reservations would lie with Kawhi's physical and mental well-being though (as stated before). If we're talking pre-injury/drama Kawhi, it's a no-brainer. Do the deal.
