Agree. Especially given the reports that said his pain wouldn't show up immediately after a game, but the next day or whatever. That's a seriously shape shifting injury.

Lol at anyone who actually believed Kawhi wanted to be traded because of one simple comment by Tony (when he was asked the question to begin with). AND when the timeline shows that Kawhi wanted out long before that was made.
Kawhi wants out because Kawhi wants out. He's demanding a trade to ONE city only because he wants to be in LA, not because of Tony's comment. Get real.
You know, the thing that bothers me the most is, if he was healthy and could have played in round one, why didn't he? Doesn't he have any pride or fire and determination to try and pay back the team that injured him the year before? I would have liked to have seen killer instinct from him (something Jordan or Kobe wouldn't have passed up if they were injured prior, but were then well enough to play), especially when the Warriors were without an injured Curry. The playing field would have been somewhat leveled (the Warriors still would have had the talent advantage) and the Spurs could have had a chance to eliminate them before they got Curry back and won the Championship.

Exactly. It just wouldn't surprise me if his camp says something about Tony leaving and that might be the first step to maybe repairing the relationship with the Spurs. That's how dumb they are. The fact is Kawhi for some weird reason (uncle) wants out of San Antonio. The Spurs (Pop) has tried to get him to stay. The Spurs have done their part in trying to repair the relationship, but the other person in the relationship is gone already.
Its time to move on. From what I have heard its Boston who the Spurs are trying to get a deal done with.

Spurs still have to sign Kyle Anderson. Hopefully they don't overpay. And with so many young Guards on the roster, I really hope they trade Patty as part of the Kawhi deal. Doubt it will happen, because Patty is Pop's guy and I don't think he wants to say bye to Tony, Manu, and Patty all in one offseason, for the sake of the team, offloading his deal and creating cap space for next Summer would easily be the right move.
