    What's Next For Marcus Smart

A source close to Smart said that he is turning his focus away from staying in Boston and has been communicating with multiple teams, including the Spurs, Lakers, Rockets, Jazz, Pistons and Bucks. He also stated that Smart is possibly leaning towards San Antonio and Milwaukee as they have the funds to pay the $16 million a year contract that he feels he deserves.

Shows how much of a bargain Anderson is. Smart got a lot of visibility simply by being in Boston.

His agent is lying to him if he thinks SAS can put $16M annually in front of him. They have the Bi-Annual Exception, the Vet Min, and the remainder of the MLE ($6M went to Belinelli) to sign FA's with - the most we can offer is ~$3.5M per season.

They must be thinking in terms of sign and trade or just using the Spurs for leverage, more likely.

We will probably bite. $16MM/year for Smart sounds like a Spurs deal. We gonna end up with a roster of LMA and 14 guards.

If Kyle follows Tony out of town, Mills is a lock to stay.

I wonder if Manu is now likely to return.

OR, what if these personnel moves are Kawhi-related. What if PATFO is allowing guys to depart that made Kawhi uncomfortable in an effort to make his return easier. Now Pop has plausible deniability about any locker room team meeting/confrontation between Tony/Manu and Kawhi... Plus the way is paved for some young guys to play major minutes...

The Golden State Warriors are among the teams forward Jonas Jerebko will consider upon clearing waivers, league sources tell ESPN. Strong mutual interest.

Bertans getting an offer sheet from the Jazz seems inevitable now. They still have the entire MLE available.

They don't, not sure where that guy who posted the article, got that figure from. Why I said take the article with grain of salt. Plus we need more wing players w/ size.
