Good to see White getting right to the rim so much in this game.
Derrick White had a rough half by his standards. But he and Walker both had a few shots rim out.
Wow. Baffling. Almost like they, prospect-wise, are guard-heavy, and play in a league that has been trending small for several years now...weird. No idea why they keep going small either.
They just ran the alley oop play for Walker to start the half. Feels like it's been forever since that happened last.

Metu has been okay on offense. But god, has he been awful on D against bigs the last four games.
This is a misconception. It's trended away from plodding centers (also, less publicized and more recently, small guards), but it's actually gone the other way with wings, which now generally comprise 2-4. Teams often play as big as possible, with listed SFs now playing as nominal SGs.
Gonna needs lots and lots of coaching. I had hopes that Walker could hit the ground running but he looks to be destined to spend the year in Austin.
Not many 19 year old rookies hit the ground running.

I thought a knock on Walker was he had bad handles? He’s been looking good in that department today.
