Right. I wasn't making the point that he is an intellectual. Just that believing in a ct and being intellectual aren't mutually exclusive.
i could say i believe in string theory that doesnt mean im a theoretical physicist.
just because some smart people may or may not share his opinion doesn't mean it reflects some sort of intellectualism.

They are not really thinking is not an argument.
the impression i got from his comments weren't that he thought the moon landing was a conspiracy or that the earth was flat. i got the impression that he was stating that reality is an illusion. this is not a conspiratorial thought at all.
Didn't Feynman think that too? That the chances of our universe being a simulation on a highly advanced computer is almost 100% given how many computers are or will be capable of it?
he wasn't the only one. there are several theoretical physicists who regard the universe as either a matrix or a hologram and then there are also several philosophers who regard reality as either an illusion or simply a construct of our perceptions (idealism, for instance).
Right. My point is that Feynman is highly respected, so having that belief alone shouldn't subject someone to criticism.
exactly. it's not the same thing as the flat earthers at all.
Is this guy's girl a simulation?
