I'm ready for something to happen.

Philly is the only move. They have the medical info, they have a big market, they have the assets, they have a free road to the Finals for the next 5 years with Kiwi and Brett Brown is terrified of getting schooled by Stevens again.

If Uncle Dennis has any brain he saw what going to the Finals every year did for Bron...

    Get it done already.

There's also no chance that Kawhi would agree to stay with the Raptors long-term

They would gladly shed Derozan's deal for 1 year of Kawhi + the possibility of convincing him to stay, but can't see them moving their young starters for the future for just 1 season of Kawhi(especially with LeBron being gone, they'll probably take a shot with their team, as is)
Even if there'd only be something like a 2% chance, I'd still do DeRozan and Siakam, if I were them.

The alternative is continually banging their heads against the wall with their aging, flawed stars (their young players are good, but all role players) or trading them for mediocre returns, since neither has great trade value.

Outside of fluking into one picking in the 20s, this would be their only chance of getting a superstar and they'd have almost a year to recruit from the inside.

The quality of that trade hinges mostly on how well you think anunoby will develop. Similar height, build, wingspan as rookie kawhi. His rookie year was very similar to that of Kawhi's right down to the defensive specialist whose shooting came along much better than originally thought. If the front office thinks it can develop him the same way as it did kawhi you make that move.

I agree with your assessment on Siakam, dude is very underrated. He's fast, long, and has demonstrated that he can make plays on the move.

Nah. Anunoby will more than likely top out a 3 and D wing/complimentary starter. The problem is, all this team would have in the way of focal points, are an aging Aldridge and a flawed/peaked DeRozan.

Houston’s so ed. Their cute little team will probably have another cute little regular season but that’s about it.

Horrible of them to not make a deal when you specifically said it’s a done deal and that he’s been on a plane for almost two weeks. The audacity, really. How disrespectful to your credentials, PinoyMarauder/Mr. Palisoc.

Kawhi going to Philly would make the East far more interesting than the West IMO..

A Boston-Philly bloodbath would be way more entertaining than watching the Warriors against a bunch of decent teams
For sure. Kawhi is a real but as a basketball fan I would love seeing him on PHI. Embiid/Kawhi/Simmons is an insane defensive unit.

I’m very annoyed that freaking Fultz is apparently holding this up. Really PHI??

If it’s Fultz then it has to be a three team deal cause this kid is not even close to Spurs material. No way Pop is spending
his last years coaching another K-Y god forbid we have him on our team. I still think Phillys an almost done deal I think the hold up might be where Fultz lands as far
as third team which probably involves draft picks

Seen this said alot, he was kept out of the summer league to continue to repair his shot with his personal trainer, Brett said this was the likely outcome about a month ago. Has no impact on his future which will be in Philly. We've been very consistent Fultz won't be part of the trade alongside Embiid and Simmons.

Spurs have to get a starting caliber SF back if they trade Kawhi - as simple as that.

It won't be Fultz he's not being traded so you don't have to worry. I think it'll be Covington/Saric/Filler+Miami Pick, Sixers 2019 pick, rights to Kings 1st 2019 protected pick.

Spurs need to heed their own advice and get over themselves with this Spurs material nonsense. That was fine when they had an all-time core and about as good a chance as any team to win the championship in a given season. Now, they're like most teams, who need to do whatever they can to acquire front line talent.

I could understand not wanting to touch a Cousins, but if they don't want Fultz just because he's not Robinson, Duncan, Ginobili or Parker (who is?) or because they think they have their PG of the future in Murray, that's insane.
