    Butler's defense is waaaay better, not even in the same universe..he's an all-NBA defender, while DeRozan is one of the worst in the league, bad enough that his new coach has already called him out in it

    Butler is also in a different league as a passer..

    I'm not a big fan of his, but he's a top 15 player..

    They were rumored to be getting Kemba to help Kawhi out before Kawhi wanted a trade, probably would have to trade Murray and some pieces.

    I can see your point but Derozan just has a knack for scoring. He passes the eye test to me and has good length to be a 2 or 3. I imagine with proper coaching he will be just fine on the defensive end too.

    Definitely the best player that's somewhat realistic to get back in a Kawhi trade.

    Of course, Butler is just a rental himself.
