Spurpadre can always make a good joke.
"3 and D" was invented for Danny tbh.
His defensive versatility was key to spurs good run and helped hide Parker against physical PGs and keep him on the floor. Shot wasn't there the last couple years (which is kind of annoying for a 3 and D) but good locker room guy and teammate.
Funny story is that without him sending a voice mail to Pop to ask for a second chance after being cut for not making the necessary efforts and having the right at ude, this thread probably wouldn't exist...
Would have the spurs still ring ? Who knows, a few details or a role player can change a lot of things.
Thankful for Danny's contribution on D, his ability to stay healthy, and his 2013-2014 shooting. Good luck homie.
He was sacrificed for the good of the team. He'll come back one way or another.

Green was such an over achiever here. Sad it had to end this way because of Kawhi but at least he gets to compete with him in Toronto. This trade made sense in so many ways...

Im glad Verde is out...but Ill throw a cheers up for 2011-2015 DG. Was legit. Last two years...no comment. Guy was class...never whined, took his pop lashings, and was solid for like 5 years. I give the dude props and wish him well.
A 3&D god when he was at his best. One of the best transition defenders I've seen -- can't even count the number of miraculous breakaway stops he pulled off. A good guy on and off the court. Cheers to DG, he'll be missed.
