Hart, Wagner, Svi and Zubac is closer to the offer it would take to trade away Luol Dung’s turd contract than a package that would get them Leonard. Maybe Meyers Leonard.
Why would they? They would be contenders to win it all if Kawhi plays. And if he doesn't play, they are better off letting Kawhi's 20 millions expire than taking on Deng's contract, which is the only way the Lakers have of making a trade work.
If those NBA's Toronto reporters on Twitter are right, the Raptors have confidence in their young guys and they also expect to lure max guys.
Kawhi is a rare case, not every NBA player left money on the table to join some X team, there are many good-to-great players that want a max contract next season.
