Where do we think this leave Mulitinov?
Is it another Livio situation where we end up paying him never to play here?
Probably. If he didn't come this or last season, I don't see him ever coming tbh

Throw in on a trade if we're lucky.

With gasol being gone next year there’s no reason to not bring milutinov next season

Yeah. Don't see why not. A year of house training for Poodle behind Gasol, then a promotion next year when Pau goes bye-bye, with Milutinov coming in as Poodle's back up.

He should be able to be somehow of a threat offensively as a pick n roll finisher with Ginóbili. Always as a roll man, kind a like Tiago.
I hope TD helps him in that area and many more.

He’s a good pick up, and reminds me of Tiago. I’m just disappointed this is the only other peice the Spurs got. That pick is ty in a ty draft.
How do you even know it's a ty draft two years in advance? If the pick conveys then it's useful, if nothing else because of the Spurs track record of finding rotation players with picks in the 20-30 range.

I think he'll come over next off season after Gasol is stretched and waived.

Poeltl, Milutinov, and Metu may end up being the C rotation next season-a very cheap and young rotation

The same place he was always likely to be, which is as a deep bench player.

More like Aldridge and Poeltl in the rotation, with Milutinov and maybe Metu on the deep bench.

I'm not so sure Pau will be stretch-waived anymore. They lost $30 million in expirings with Kawhi and Green.

Stretching Pau won't give them that much room anyway in a summer with a lot of teams that will have a lot more money. Stretching Pau will mean ... $12 million + Room Exception? And that's if they don't use a lot of their MLE remainder this summer or sit on the BAE

I could easily see them keeping Pau for the 'culture'

You’re right. Stretching Gasol only makes sense if they’re moving Mills too to have real cap space. I think a trade that brings in an eight figure a year guy another team is looking to move salary of makes sense.

A Bazemore or Covington type of contract if one of those teams is trying to create more space. They can then stretch Gasol.

Along with DeRozan they get a recent lottery pick that is young and has potential, and another draft pick that could be another DJ, White, Walker IV. Great work RC. I hope Kawhi stays. Will be a steal for Raptors.

Im reading this guy has the potential to be a healthy splitter .

He needs to be starting if thats the case. Gasol shouldnt start at all. Problem going to be spacing on offense but im sure spurs coaching will figure it out.

Really hope he's not Splitter tbh....

That pussy never belonged in an NBA court. Thank god we had Diaw to take over when it really mattered.

Poeltl makes Pau necessary at least for another year to mentor this kid. He can learn a lot from the big Spaniard. At first I was, Poeltl who? But watching his clips and having Gasol to mentor him, and at 22? He could be a great pickup.

Aldridge will play 4 in big line ups. Poeltl or another center was absolutely needed. Made sense for Spurs.

Highlights from the Raptors game last season in SA, obviously not a bad line.

Like his interior defensive presence and ability to run the court, those two attributes will keep him in the league a long time.

Rather good sense for where he needs to be and what he needs to be doing on offense. Defense seems to be more instinctive/reactionary, not necessarily a bad thing when contesting shots at the rim.
