    from what i've read there are those reluctant to give a lucrative deal to a player who has been reluctant to pitch products and who also has been reluctant to wear certain styles.

    actually Nike owns the Jordan logo and Nike owns Jordan's brand. Jordan brand is a subsidiary of Nike.
