Trump has absolutely solid Republican support on the poll level.
Trump is hated by Democrats at an unprecedented level.

    Trump loses with the independents.

    Its Trump v. whomever

Republicans thoroughly love the perceived payback. Obama apparently screwed with the white world, even though he didn’t. They are completely behind an incompetent clown. I would, at this point, vote for Bernie even though his economics plan is totally screwed.

    And we wait...

Here’s How State-Level Democrats Could Keep Trump off the 2020 Ballot

There is no law that says a presidential candidate must release his or her tax returns to the public, so legislators in at least 23 states have drafted at least 40 bills to create one.

These laws would hinge access to the state presidential ballot on voluntary disclosure.

It’s our position that these ballot access measures are cons utional,”

said Corey Goldstone, media strategist at the Campaign Legal Center, a nonpartisan nonprofit in Washington, D.C., that advocates for strong campaign finance laws.

popular with people but not with state legislators.

Don't really see anyone on either side challenging him tbh. Oprah?

His approval rating is already 7 percentage points higher than Obama's was at this time during his tenure. I'm sure people like Jill Stein and maybe even Bernie Sanders may try to cash in one more time, but it's not going to matter.

I don't see the Democratic Party recovering after all is said and done with the multiple investigations and their recent bankruptcy. The Dems have been soiled with Radical Socialism and those kinds of stains are hard to wash out. The Information Age has not been kind to the Democrats either now that we have a clear picture on the history of their party. People like Dinesh D'Souza and Ben Shapiro are the real patriots enduring endless strife to deliver the uncomfortable truths.
Ill be happy to vote Republican if you guys give me a better candidate.
Democrats dont have my loyalty like the Lakers or Cowboys.
Best candidate or least repulsive like 2016 will get my vote.

The Blue Wave Strengthens As Women Support Democrats By Massive 2-To-1 Margin

Because of Democratic strength with the female electorate, they now hold a 12-point advantage – 51 to 39 percent overall – heading into the critical midterm elections.

    Key findings from the survey:

    • Women voters: 57 to 32 percent Democratic advantage
    • Men voters: 46 to 44 percent Republican advantage
    • White voters: 46 to 45 percent Democratic advantage
    • African American voters: 78 to 16 percent Democratic advantage
    • Hispanic voters: 66 to 22 percent Democratic advantage

Even the demographic groups with whom Republicans appear compe ive – male and white voters – aren’t really good news for them heading into the midterms.

According to 2016 exit polls, Trump carried those two voting blocs by 11 points and 20 points, respectively.

Trump is bringing down the GOP

The Trump presidency has been a raging dumpster fire since day one, but in recent weeks it has devolved into a blazing landfill.

bou, maybe you don't have children and don't consider that among those options Families at border (people I don't even know) is waaaaaaaay down the list compared to Economy (what most affects my immediate family), North Korea (the thought of nuclear war), trade (cost of goods) and Russia (possession of most nuclear weapons after US).

I have to take care of my own before worrying about others, and every dollar that goes toward feeding/clothing/educating/legal costs for those children is a dollar less that is spent on OUR American kids. I fear that you will be disappointed if you are hoping that moms are going to vote for illegal families at the border over their own kids (economy).

I think that America has more than enough of ITS OWN family destruction to worry about (see high rate of [absent] "fatherless" children) than to be voting FOR MORE illegal people crossing the border.

    soccer dads could be key

In 2014, Independent men gave Republicans a 19-point advantage, while Independent women gave the GOP only a four-point edge. That yields a 15-point difference—the gender gap among Independent voters. This year, Independent men voted for Democrats by a seven-point margin, while Democrats carried Independent women by 17 points. The Independent gender gap, however, shrunk from 15 to 10 points. That’s because, while women moved 21 points in the Democrats’ favor, men moved 26 points. Independent voters from both sexes shifted blue, but men shifted substantially more.

I don't know about the conclusion of this article. On one hand it says why midterms are different from presidential elections and on the other hand, it says GOP need to show difference between 2020 choices (one of whom we don't know who is yet). But lol at the comments.
