They mentioned a big reason for that is QB Roschon Johnson being in the class before him.

I said earlier in the cycle that Texas' class from last year is going to undoubtedly be a factor this year and we are seeing this. Aggy DB class is good, but putting it on the level of Texas' class last year- Not so much. Richardson and Carter(even with his issues) are really the only 2 I see on the same level of last years DB's we signed. But , I'm just doing this for fun, so I better put an IMO behind all of this.

Also, Aggy didn’t sign anyone worth a crap last cycle. It’s only natural that they were going to load up this DB class and that Texas was going to have a “down” year in the DB class.

Imagine that both schools sign their current class, now, put the 2018 and 2019 DB classes next to each other. Texas has a stronger class by a mile. That’s how I see recruiting anyway.

We May not vie for exactly the same kids as Aggie but the Sooners are killing it in quality under Riley. We must change this.

Also, spoke to people in Aledo and Carter seems like a bad dude. I don’t think that Jimbo is evaluating character. He is trying to take big names with suspect character. Reminds me of Mack’s latest years. He was recruiting based off perception.
