Probably not very effective against teams that don't even want to get to the hole. Hard to funnel guys inside who only want to shoot a 3-ball.
I am just glad we got a big I get so frustrated watching Gasol get the ball down low while being guarded by. 6’5 Guard and he passes out of or gets the ball stolen.

Might be seeing the team face up more hard at the 3 point line angling for a funnel, inviting a drive into a big's face.
Good passers can defeat this so we'll see how that goes, if they go with that.
Holy do not speak that name.
1. Wrong.
2. Delete your signature ASAP. Disgusting!
the more I read about this guy. the more I think he might be the key to another great FO steal.
Where the did his Twitter account go?![]()
It might've been reported . . . it was JaCobPoeltl when you'd think it's be JaKobPoeltl.
Any chance Bill Land will scream *Purddle Power* sometime this season??
Why not?
Future super center, destroyer of the Warriors
Line is starting at -500
Poeltl may end up being a really solid addition. He was already a an 18 minutes per game player for a 59 win team. Young. Good shot blocker.
I never know how well these things ever work out, but having him work with Pau as far as skills in the post goes is a plus.
We all- or least a majority, complain about Pau, but he does have skills.
I'm not going to be surprised that he starts. Dedmond played 17.5 minutes/game with the Spurs. He started in 37 of those games.
Poetl is likely a better center than Dedmond.
I was annoyed by “KaWOW” This would be worse. Now that u mention it i just hope he doesnt yell Purty Purddle
Way too generous. I would put money on -5000.
According to Basketball-Reference Poeltl was 4th in Offensive Win Shares, Win Shares, and Win Shares per 48 minutes. Also, he was 6th in Deffensive Win Shares. And that was on a Raptors team that did pretty well.
His per36 numbers were very comparable to Gasol's
Jakob fouls a lot more than Pau does and that could be a concern moving forward, but that's the only concern. People talk about his shooting (no range) but am confident that would change. Actually, Jakob had a much higher True Shooting Percentage than Pau, and that's very encouraging. Pau was 9th on our team last year and Jakob would have been 4th. Does that ring a bell?![]()
He is still young and his game will improve each and every summer and am so excited to have him on our team.
A team can support one rim-rolling big with no range, especially these Spurs because every 4 they can put on the floor has range to at least 20 feet.
