That point falls pretty flat seeing as how Black Panther made a load of money.
Bend over, I'll show you a usage foul.
That point falls pretty flat seeing as how Black Panther made a load of money.
Black panther was a beast in the comics and one of the few characters to weild the infinity gauntlet. Any man is forced
Of course it did. It was strategically released at the perfect time. I'm not saying it wasn't a brilliant time to make a Black Panther movie. I'm saying it was no coincidence.
We've already had whites playing actual ethnic characters. The thing is there's really not much distinguishing the Bond character as a white guy -- just a British guy so a black or even an Indian dude could be plausible given everything that's happened in the empire since the 50s.
Shaft? Character is black, but sure -- have Kirk Cameron play him in a reboot.
nerd alert![]()
Then that means it wasn’t forced.
Growing up Marvel trading cards and comics were the . The Marvel Masterpiece cards and all that were popular as .. Spiderman and X-men both have shows on Fox.. I have zero recollection of anybody giving a damn about Black Panther. I only knew who he was because of this book:

So what
For s and giggles I would love to see ticket sales broken down by race per Marvel movie over the last 3 years
Better troll bait needed tbh, we all were kids at one point.
Except for some 25 movies that cast Bond as a white guy and Ian Fleming writing him as an improved version of himself (a white Englishman). Aside from that I guess you're right?
If Black Panther came out at the perfect time to maximize it’s profits, that’s literally the opposite of forced. Agreed on Ghostbusters tho. I don’t see how Idris Elba as Bond is forced, he’s easily the best option aside from maybe Tom Hardy.
“Of course Bond was white, people were too racist to allow a black spy back then”
He got plenty of shine in the comic world, made cameos in several marvel cartoons and had his own series on bet. He had a bigger following than blade who had 3 films.
The only thing I can say is forced is mystique being the centerpiece in these x men movies. BP earned his film and the numbers prove it.
My point walks a fine line because I like Idris. But this IMO is not because he's a great actor. It's agenda based vs talent based casting, not to say he doesn't have the talent.
Agreed on Mystique though.. she ain't . It's a damn shame justice wasn't shown to Juggernaut considering they made 18 X-Men movies
Sean Connery is Scottish.
Timothy Dalton is Welsh.
Pierce Brosnan is Irish.
George Lazenby is Australian.
There's nothing requiring the James Bond character to be white except muh heritage.
So you’re saying he’s a great actor and talented enough to play the part, but that he isn’t being hired for those reasons?![]()
Comes off as virtue signaling to me as well. "Look guys - we're casting James Bond as a black male! Aren't we diverse and tolerant?! Give us your money!"
..and crazy thing is people typically have no clue that Blade, Punisher, and even Howard the ing Duck all had Marvel movies before Marvel Movies were a thing
Yes. Point I'm trying to make. Watch us break down barriers so reward us with millions
Yes. Why wasn't Denzel cast over Pierce Brosnan in the 90's? Denzel would be a great Bond.
Anyways.. how bout them ing COWBOYS
How about Sony Vue blocking the game on NFL network and not having NBC/ABC when it matters? Dumping this after the next cycle.
Right, because Bond movies are struggling so badly that they’re forced into doing this.Holy you’re stupid.
