I'm only a semi-hater. I said I was okay with the Spurs resigning him. He was a decent defender / glue guy.

Pretty much this. It probably was the right decision to not sign him thinking about it again. He is a great glue guy around great talent just like Carmelo does well on his Team USA outtings.
I miss you Fathead!

kyle was ecstatic about being draftd by spurs..............little did he know spurs would not let him play pg...........
He should thank his lucky stars hes getting a 38mil deal getting drafted by Spurs.![]()
I'm not sure if Kyle ever got his props that were due. As far as I know he never complained about his minutes or his role or caused a problem in the lockerroom. While you can't learn speed or quickness, he learned how to use his length and some anticipation to improve his defense. Frankly, he was better on defense after a few years than I ever thought he could be as a rookie. And he learned how to get his shot on those oh-so-slo-mo drives against NBA compe ion and occasionally surprised with a 3. So he tried to improve and I think became something of a rotational asset. Never a star, but worth some props for his at ude, improvement and all-around usefulness. He always gave us the best that he had and you cant ask more than that of any player.
I hope he does great as a Grizzly. Thank you Kyle.
. I agree. Hate speech and commentary flow too easily on the internet and especially on this board. He filled in nicely although to the eye he was ugly but the advanced stats show he his IQ and versatility makes a difference. I too hope he does well but I am not too disappointed we didn't resign him because the Grizzlies made a good pick up as he was a better fit for them than the Spurs.
Last year was his first time seeing consistent minutes and last season had so much turmoil. He should definitely improve.
Can't finish at the rim. Doesn't take wide open shots. Allows for defenders to cheat on defense, and puts other teammates in jeopardy. Not going to improve, but certainly going to regress. Will only get slower.
He did a lot of little things well, unfortunately he didn’t do the big things well enough. I would have been disappointed if the Spurs had matched Memphis.
Can’t finish at the rim ?! Did you even watch him play ? I stoped reading you after that. Such nonsense...
Agreed. Honestly was better than I expected him to be but I'm comfortable with RC & Pop letting him walk. It's almost like you have to build the team around him in order for him to see his full potential. Not sure he will ever get that chance.
uggos are hate epeech categoy now?
Also he looks fine.
So glad this non-factor is long gone.
This thread le makes me laugh every time I see it.

spurs held on to the better fathead, imho.
kyle andersons dad confrims kyle is a pg not a sf
White wasn't going anywhere either way.
I wish him well, too. I will be interested to see how the Grizz use him. In fact, I will be far more interested to see what Kyle does this coming season than I will be in Number 2, tbh.

Did he also confirm he's a scrub?
