Oh wow. I'm back! No more pink! Thanks Timvp and Kori! Been here since 03 and have lurked since the MANU FOUL on Dirk.

SpursTalk was previously hosted on two dedicated servers in Slovenia (thanks to Slomo and Muki for years of great work hosting the forum). We decided to move to servers located near San Antonio. In theory, that should make the forum faster for visitors in Texas.

However, that's just the theory. It's a rather ambitious overhaul that included a lot of moving parts behind the scenes. I'm sure there will be slowness, broken pages and other errors that will need to be dealt with. Thank you in advance for your patience.

Please report in this thread any bugs or issues that you see.

I'll keep a running list of known issues and a changelog:


Known Issues
-Search isn't indexing new content
-Chatroom replacement needed
-SSL certificate needed (done)
-vBulletin upgrade to 4.2.5 needed
-Tweets not embedding (fixed)
-Viewing posts from posters on your ignore list not working correctly
-Not all hard-coded images are on https
-No bbcode buttons for Twitter and Instagram (fixed but not on Quick Reply)
-Editing issues on certain posts
-Flags, awards, spurs, etc. are down for now

Changelog
-Redirect bug impacting Google search results fixed
-RIP the following forums: UTSA, Pistons, International
-Twitter bbcode now accepts full tweet URL in addition to truncated ID
-Join date added to postbit in Spurs forum
-Fixed issue that had certain forums hiding threads after 100 days
-Added ability to embed Instagram pics and videos using [insta]TruncatedID[/insta].

Thanks for the new changes. My only problem is part of "known issues" list. I can't edit posts. When I posted something and click on Edit to fix/change it, there are an option to delete and other to edit. But if I want to edit, the text of the post doesn't show.

EDIT: I can do it now!!

Lurking is what encourages you to register. If I were you I would let the lurkers back in, tbh.

Lurking can be done with an account just fine. Although it'll probably slow this sites growth not to allow account less browsing, this site already had closed reg for years. There's literally no way it won't be an improvement.

Hiding sigs was what encouraged me to register . Sigs were bad ten years ago, I think it's better now, but i would not know cause i don't see them.

the CA cert was added only in the last couple days. see now "HTTPS:// in the URL field. the google red screen was turned off in chrome months ago

I just wanted to thank timvp and Kori Ellis for all of the hard work and effort they put for this forum. I'm a new member, but have been lurking around for a while. Tough to find many Spurs fans in LA, so I'm glad to be a part of ST. Thanks!

PS: loving the new servers. Couldn't see any tweets/ig/etc on my mobile before the move, and now everything is fantastic.
