Just in case you guys were on the edge of your seats for this one.
JUCO LB Caleb Johnson of Fullerton, CA talks about receiving a UT offer and his commitment status with Iowa State (24/7):
“I’m pretty open,” Johnson said. “Iowa State’s coaching staff is full of great people, and they even advise you to take in all your options and make the best decision.”
“I’m very excited,” Johnson said. “I talked to their Director of Recruiting (Bryan Carrington) and defensive coordinator (Todd Orlando) last week, and I talked to (Orlando) again on Saturday, and he offered me."
“They are very professional, and I felt they both have a lot of experience in what they do.”
“My interest is pretty high,” Johnson said. “I like how they have a history of being great and sending people to the league.”

If you missed it over the weekend, an Ohio State graduate and author who still has close ties to the university, published a report that the Hermans are the ones responsible for attempting to expose Meyer and Smith.
Turns out Urban's wife happened to speak with that writer around the time the report was published.
Per Inside Texas, OL Derek Kerstetter took the majority of the snaps at center with the ones and twos during Saturday's scrimmage.
That pushed OL Zach Shackelford to right guard where he shared snaps with OL Tope Imade.
If this is something that holds, I see that as good news as it means Texas is stronger at both tackle spots than anticipated.
Inside Texas saying LB David Gbenda is currently filming his commitment video and wants to go public before his senior season starts.
We should be hearing something from him within these next two weeks at the latest.
I too was shocked when I finally received my confirmation email. Spent many years as a guest.
This Trumpian bull in football has to stop now! I don't want to spend the football season hearing about this mess! Can the season start already?
Wow...
Violent Scrimmages bring out much stouter opinions and info.
This is clearly one of the best brainiac pieces for nice tidbits.
Nice.
Thanks.
These practice reports bring out the Kool-Aide drinkers in all of us. The main thing to look for in these reports to me, is who get's dinged up. We need to stay as healthy as possible because Texas is still thin at several positions.
While Spurstalk was down I went to the OSU eleven warrior site. Wanted more info.
They got an explanation for everything.
All is good for them.
Herman is on the hot seat however.
Herman lending $ to Zach’s wife is apparently a big problem.
Meyer should not be fired because they already paid a heavy price when Woody Hayes and Tressel were let go.
And this was Back when OSU fans were convinced Urban was a liar and a cheater at Florida after he slaughtered OSU in a bowl game. But it’s all good now.
Also, they hate Paul Finebaum. Because he hates Urban Meyer.
I think I will stay here for my reads from now on.
Absolutely they are. Between the lines It’s clear we got zero studs at RB. The offense has a long way to go....
But then you get tidbits like they let Overshown play LB and he got dinged. This guys film really struck me from HS. I was happy he just got in at LB.
Since I can’t edit the above:
It is also interesting Herman does have such violent practices immediately.
I had always questioned not easing into heavy contact. This was alluded to And is relevant to the injury stuff. Herman takes such good care on hydration but then they are allowed to destroy each other possibly... it’s interesting.
This is really really good news. I'm curious who is running at RT right now? I actually thought Kerstetter did a pretty good job last year, all things considered. He obviously never should have been put in that spot, but you can't account for injuries.
From all the reports I've read here are the linemen I'm hearing most about that will be getting the majority of the snaps as of right now.
LT - Calvin Anderson, - Snone walled Hagar, that is saying something.; Denzel Okafor
LG - Patrick Vahe; Tope Imade; Patrick Hudson
C- Derek Kerrstettler; Zack Shackleford
RG - Tope Imade; Zack Shackleford; Patrick Hudson;
RT- Sam Cosmi, Denzel Okafor; Derek Kerrstettler; Junior Angilau
That is 9 guys to fill 5 slots, I can live with that, but I think we still need 2 or 3 more for depth purposes. Has anyone seen reports on anyone else?
I think we have our LT in Calvin Anderson, everything is pointing to him being a impact player. I think our interior will be in good hands between Kerrstettler, Imade, Hudson, Shackleford, and Vahe. that is 5 guys for 3 spots, may the best man win. The real key is who will be the RT. I have high hopes for Sam Cosmi, if he can make that his spot, we are going to have a of a offensive line.
Just need to stay healthy.
On Saturday, it was Okafor, Cosmi and Urquidez.
Okafor took reps with first and second teams.
If Ohio State paid a heavy price when coaches HAYES and TRESSEL were let go,maybe they should have learned a little something by now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They have. Muddy the water and engage your victim blaming conspiracy.
blake....USC offered QB Maverick McIvor today.

This game caused OSU fans unrelenting criticism of Meyer for many reasons.
But its all good now. He’s a good guy. Everyone lies in front of the BiG media on media day.
Urban reformed once he entered the city limits of Col, Ohio. Or, everyone does it so why punish Urban?
Same fans that were sure Paterno had lied. They were correct.
He gone...
