What would be wrong with a black Bond?
The only real requirement is being a British dude.
Don’t cancel the franchise, but kill Bond off and then follow Idris Elba, as a new character, with his own traits and characteristics he can develop. What would be wrong with that?

I guess I don’t really see the point. It may not matter to you, but he was created as white and has been for 50+ years.
Plus it’s not like Bond films are totally unique at this point (Mission impossible, Bourne). Just make a new black spy character.

While your honesty is appreciated, this is really kind of a perplexing point of view. What makes it difficult to picture? Is there a subconscious insecurity about a black guy taking over a character who typically beds several white women in a film?
Fundamentally, there's no reason to be any more distracted by Elba's race than by Craig's hair color, or by the fact that Roger Moore has a different nose than Sean Connery. Each Bond has been different from the ones preceding him, why should a difference of skin color be difficult for you to picture unless you feel there are traits inherent to black men that disqualify them from playing such a role?

So I was excited i heard dere was gonna be a new Ghostbusters. Oh I loved that one when I was a child. Bill murray, akroyd, the nerd from Stripes, and there was a black guy too but he stayed in the background not like the ones nowadays trying to be president now and lecturing me on tv. So the new one I see they not only got rid of the original cast but they replaced am not with white guys but with women! pluS there was a black chick and she was all uppity and in from of the scenes and stuff!
Well so I got em though. I got em good. I went to the Google and I entered in Ghostbusters 2016 but here's what I did i also entered in imdb. Then I went to the bottom of the imdb.com page and entered in the discussions! I told em good in those discussions it was a battle but you gotta get in the frontlines you wanna win this culture war! You may think this is dirty poker but I also have it a one star before I even saw it! We have to sink to their level to win
They thought they was gonna take my Ghostbusters away from me! I said no, not on my watch! Us poor white people Ghostbusters is one of the few things we got left and it took some work but we saved it
I don't care who they cast as the new James Bond. I'm pretty sure I'll like it. I love Daniel Craig in the role though.

hollywood has been whitewashing films/shows forever and Spurstalk is triggered over a black james bond.
why would they spend the money and take the risk of developing a brand new black spy when they can just plug in to the Bond franchise? I don’t really give a what their motives for casting him are. He’s a great actor and it will probably outdo the most recent Bond movie.
I’ve skipped a lot of them even though they were probably good. But it’s very likely I’ll check this one out with the new face. I imagine a lot of others will as well.
The bottom line is who can they cast that they believe will bring in the most viewers.
Triggered? It’s like a handful of posters. And it’s more likely that the ones triggered will post as opposed to the large majority who are fine with it.

I think his casting as Roland in The Dark Tower was worse, but I still saw it. I don't see what the big deal is.
