When the did I say something remotely close to that?![]()
Mike Cernovich is reading that right now thinking “oh wow, brilliant!”
When the did I say something remotely close to that?![]()
quit comparing me to alt-right racists who have the same opinion and thought process as me
Next he’ll be talking about how his best friend is black.
No, I'm comparing a fictional character, to another fictional character.
The Ancient One isn't a bald white British woman in the comics, so you guys already got your whitewashed movie character.
Is that a slight on Asian actors? I'd call it a missed opportunity for sure. Nothing's perfect; I still don't see all the pushback against a perfectly plausible casting of a well-known, well-respected British actor to play a fictional British character.
Purple bald alien being changed to have blonde hair
vs
White guy being changed to black guy
SAME IN THING!![]()
James Brolin isn't purple.
At least I don't think he is.
Fictional characters with a story, with a backgound. That have been represented time after time on a specific way and that fans expect them to look a specific way.
Is that suppossed to make any kind of point?
I'm talking about the characters, not the actors.
You literally just whined saying “why don’t Asians and Latinos get as many roles as black people” as if black people getting representation is unfair to them. Holy you’re ing stupid![]()
Yeah, for some guys ir might be. Thanos hair and colour of skin aren't essential to his character. Shouldn't it be the same for you ir it is purple le yellow?
And if it isn't, then why can't you respect that for some people it isn't the same to have a white James Bond, than a black James Bond?
Ten years, dude.

BECAUSE ONE IS AN ALIEN AND THE OTHER IS A ING HUMAN BEING YOU RE ED .
No, you are just bad at reading comprehension.
Do you want it clear? No, I don't think blacks and women getting lead roles impacts Latins and Asians. I'm just pointing out that this whole "social justice" thing is focusing more on blacks and women than Latins and Asians. And that's hypocresy. Social justice should be for everyone.
In what way does that make a difference?
"It's OK to about a character having a different colour of skin ir that character isn't a human"![]()
It’s not hypocrisy, you re , it’s incremental progress that is absolutely moving too slowly. Yes, Latins and Asians deserve as much representation as black people, but the fact that they don’t currently get that representation ISN’T BLACK PEOPLE’S FAULT.
”unless everyone gets fair representation then nobody should, just keep everything white until then
”
ing re . I’m done with you, enjoy being an ignorant dumb .
I don't what is that suppossed to refer to? Nick Fury? I'm not familiar with the origins ir that character. Was he white or black? FWIW, I prefer Samuel L. Jackson, because that's the first Nick Fury I have known.
Never said that. Again, reading comprehension failure.
It's not a perfect process, but Asian and Latin characters and versions of established characters have been coming into the comics for years now so I only think it's a matter of time before we get then in the movies -- especially as the current generation ages out.
As I said, a south Asian Bond would make even more demographic sense than Elba; I just can't think of any south Asian actors on the same level as Elba.
See? The people for whom Elba would be the first Bond wouldn't see it as a big deal either.
I'm incredulous that we're still having this conversation a solid decade after the casting of Nick Fury.
You mean to say as the White demographic in America is bred out.
Nah, that's your racial nightmare. 'Murica has been diverse from the start.
1960's - 90% White
Today - 55% ?
2050 - 35% ?
Being a white male is still the easiest gig in this country.
You must be terrible at it if you're going to run away.
Your numbers are wrong.
