RB Derrian Brown of Buford, GA told 24/7 Texas is his leader and he could be making a decision as early as next week.
“I have a great relationship with the coaches,” Brown said. “I talk to every single one of them. The history of the running backs and the running backs coach (Stan Drayton) is great. Coach (Tom) Herman is a great coach. He was at Ohio State and now he’s making Texas a great program."
“I talk to Coach Drayton and Coach (Jason) Washington once a week. I have a great bond with both of them.”
“They said they need me with my ability,” Brown said. “They can put me anywhere on the field, and I can help them out. They said I remind them of Jamaal Charles when he was down there.”
“Him (Kenyatta Watson) and his dad have told me it’s a great place and that I should go check it out,” Brown said. “They said they have a great program down there.”

OrangeBloods had a source tell them OL Sam Cosmi has mostly been working with the ones at RT this week.
That is a good development, I think Okafor's best position is as a guard. I don't mind him cross training, but I would love for Cosmi to win the job and solidify himself as our RT until Calvin Anderson leaves.

Per OrangeBloods, LB Dele Adeoye and S DeMarvion Overshown are expected to miss the Maryland game with knee injuries.
Inside Texas is hearing Adeoye will be out two to four weeks and Overshown is four to six weeks.
I guess that's the best that could've happened. At this point Dele is more critical this year than Overshown. Not saying he is better, but more critical at the LB spot. That first half against MD is gonna be a patchwork job. Roach and Johnson the whole half. Maybe they can play Hager a little and maybe Townsend will be a surprise.
