Republicans are narrow minded and ignorant as well. Anyone who is fully partisan is going to be that way. I do agree that Demos have a whole lot more of the "holier-than-thou" at ude tho. Morality is not aligned with political affiliation whatsoever even though it's alarming how many people think so.
I agree many party loyalists are as you described, but I didn't mean to suggest all Democrats are Democratic Socialists. Democratic Socialists (Occasio Cortez types) are the type that came to mind when I read the original stereotype of religious folk.

I found out going to Ireland they are not particularly fond of the English. The cab divers in Ireland (Cork anyways) will give you their story if you ask them. They like to gripe to Americans. I refused to kiss the Blarney Stone. Yea we Wandered off to castles and such. I was astounded they deposited their intestinal waste thru narrow slits in the walls of the castles high up (which were still stained). And of course the various rooms for firing arrows and dumping oil on attackers. Very pleasant stuff. And very cold and wet in December.
