    Gotta wonder how much of a role Castleberry played in giving Kawhi coaching staff info, behind the scenes chatter, etc...
    I doubt the full story will come out anytime soon. Still one of the strangest situations I've ever seen in the NBA.

    How stupid do you think the Spurs are? Do you think they're unaware of the connection, and that they would just talk about sensitive info in front of him? He was just a video coordinator, not the lead assistant.

    That's right, his job was just to change the VHS tapes from Surf Ninja's to Mac & Me while Kawhi was watching.
    On road games he had to have fresh batteries for the portable DVD player so Kawhi could watch Son of the Mask.

    I get the sentiment about Kawhi and posting this in the NBA Forum. But if another assistant coach or staff member had found a job elsewhere, we'd post about it here in the Spurs forum.

    Is this guy Jack Haley and Kawhi is Dennis Rodman? I guess he'll follow him around the league.

    Did the Spurs hire Castleberry as a concession to Kawhi to begin with? That would be ironic if he was a back-biter who helped scuttle things with Kawhi. Otoh there is an odd symmetry to Toronto's hiring him to be Number 2's companion. It will be funnier next season when the Clips or Lakers hire him to be Kawhi's buddy when he jumps to one of them.
