Mueller's team prosecuted Manafort and secured a guilty verdict. Mueller's team obtained Cohen's guilty plea.

Safe to say there's no reason to feel bad for Mueller so far...

Rachel Maddow Adds To Trump’s Nightmares With Potential Indictment Of The Trump Organization

the Trump Organization was implicated in Michael Cohen’s crimes, which means that Trump’s company may be facing indictment.

    Maddow said,

“The president’s company, his business, the Trump Organization, also appears to be implicated in the description of this crime.

Because it is the president’s company that is apparently the en y that reimbursed Michael Cohen for the illegal payoff.

It was $130,000 illegal payoff to Stormy Daniels.

They not only reimbursed him for the payoff.

They also paid off a lot more on top of the reimbursement.

It is spelled out that Michael Cohen put out this $130,000 as the payoff

but then Trump Organization, the president’s business, paid him back.

    Not $130,000.

They paid him back over $420,000.

    For having provided that service.

And that service, of course, was a felony for which Mr. Cohen will now go to prison.

They paid him a lot of money to do that.

I don’t know if you can indict a president

but I’m pretty sure you can indict president’s company.”

The fact that pretty much everybody he went after is crooked/has plenty of skeletons is a huge plus in that pursuit, tbh.

That said, I'm also with Winehole that even if he finds dirt, his hands are tied as far as going after the prez (he can send a doc to Congress and that's pretty much it).

Nevertheless, Mueller is certainly draining the swamp so far...

"his hands are tied as far as going after the prez "

SCOTUS decided,"settled law", that Clinton had to show up for Starr's subpoena.

Mueller can't subpoena Trash? special counselor can't but special prosecutor can?

The more serious problem with this argument is that it is su iously like the one the court rejected unanimously in Clinton v. Jones,

in which the court concluded that a sitting president is not absolutely immune from civil litigation for conduct that took place before he became president.

Bill Clinton, in that case, argued that forcing a sitting president to answer a civil complaint would unduly distract him from his duties as president.

In the course of reviewing the relevant precedents, Justice John Paul Stevens offered the following observations:

He can’t tie anyone he’s gone after to Trump/Russia election collusion/conspiracy. What’s his next step...trying to get Trump on obstructing an investigation that he couldn’t find a crime for? That’s laughable and embarrassing. That’s where it’s headed.

This shouldn't be surprising at all to you, tbh, I already told you that the fact that Manafort wasn't tried for collusion/conspiracy doesn't mean Mueller isn't investigating collusion/conspiracy. This trial, guilty verdict sends a message to people like Cohen, etc that have plenty of skeletons in the closet that he's out to get them, and he'll find the buried bodies. Cohen is smart in cutting a deal, event though he's playing right into what Mueller needs. Now comes bargaining time, and Mueller has all the leverage.

And you're obviating that Mueller already indicted Russian agents for meddling in the election, so he definitely already found a crime. The question really is the degree of association between those people and Trump's people, and what Trump actually knew. He's not going to get that information directly from Trump, but associates that handled the campaign are a different story. I can't say for a fact that will yield what Mueller needs for his investigation, but it was the obvious, clear path strategy to dismantle what can only be described as a mafia-like association.

Obviously, the fact that the prez is consistently surrounded by shady characters like these is probably more than a mere coincidence, but we'll know more as the investigation continues and seeing where the chips fall...
