Sounds good to me.
I think this is a phenomenal rule and surprised no one thought of it earlier
Could the league be any more biased for GSW? This is ridiculous
That's exactly what I was thinking when I first heard about this proposed rule change. This rule benefits teams that are undersized which the Warriors granted they have added Demarcus.
DeMarcus grabs offensive rebound.
Kicks it out to 3 pt shooter
Yeah I see a lot of that happening.
Teams that are undersized AND benefit from a quicker pace.
Pointless. It is already a chuckers League. I envision clock issues and controversy
Offensive rebounds usually lead to a quick wide open 3 these days to begin with. This will really only come into play in late game situations where the leading team is trying to burn the clock instead of scoring, tbh.
It's already a faster game to begin with. I don't see the need to change.
I always wondered why this wasn't the rule to begin with.
The rule change probably isn't going to affect things that much. Per this article:
The biggest effect will probably be seen in late game situations when teams are trying to run out the clock.Over 30 percent of offensive rebounds result in putbacks (the 0 Duration value on the graph) and 75 percent of offensive rebounds result in a possession that is five seconds or less. Only 6 percent of all offensive rebounds resulted in possessions that are 14 seconds or greater last year. Given that the league average for offensive rebounds was the lowest ever this past season at 9.7 per game, this rule would apply to roughly half a rebound per team per game last year.
Good point tbh.
It increases the pace of play and keeps people entertained as grind it out teams like the Grizz will be forced to jack up more shots like fast paced teams like the Dubs and Rockettes. Even if they are bigger and better at rebounding
yup. i dont see why people think this is some miracle GSW friendly rule
This is just the NBA following FIBA rules tbh..
today's NBA
