Its not a guaranteed deal. Its like the Maggette deal years back.
A deal to see where he stands right now at the nba level since he’s had knee injuries in recent years.
He should be cut at end of camp no way he should make the team.........the same as Forbes.............SMH.

There was Bobby Simmons, Corey Maggette, and now its Quincy Pondexter.
Dont understand how fans cant see that.
Well, it's off season, and aside from the Manu retirement announcement, Spurs fans need some click bait to annoy/amuse them. To be honest, this signing, I hope, sounds like it's just a camp invite to kick the tires on this guy, and to see what he has left in the tank. It seems that Pop just loves washed up old vets as insurance, but I prefer to give someone like Blossomgame a chance to prove himself that he is ready to take the next step in his NBA career. I'm crossing my fingers that he will be given the chance. Just allow him to sign a 2-way contract or perhaps a rookie contract as a way for the SAS to keep from putting all their eggs into one basket with him. What I've seen of Blossomgame is flashes of good possibilities, but unfortunately in the big league, Pop won't give him a chance just yet, unless he does some consistent things like play good defense and play smart. This is what he's inconsistent in, but hey, I think he would be much better fit than Pondexter at the stage of his career, unless Pondexter somehow shines in preseason and turns heads to the point that they commit to signing him to a full contract, but we will see. GSG!!!
Exactly, not really worth a thread even. Just an item for the Offseason Thread.
I thought they signed this guy back in July?
Or Huestis if he can ever learn how to shot or score from outside the paint!
Correction, if he learns how to score at all. How does a professional basketball player shot 33% for the season?
The kid has James Johnson (without the ballhandling, playmaking and less athleticism) potential but he needs to become at least below average on offense. He is literally terrible and I see why he hasn't been even a small priority to return to OKC.

Pondexter. Forever known as the Manu replacement.
Best of lucks son.![]()
Well, at least he should be well rested.
6’7” with 7.0 wingspan. He has quick lateral movements and suffocating size. He is Green’s replacement. Great explosiveness and athleticism but growth was plagued with injuries. Total team player. But at 31. I wish him well.
He didn't play for two years previously, so he could be well rested. At least he's got some length and basketball skills.
He's as old as Danny Green.
Let the Rockets sign bruno caboclo to sign Quincy Poindexter. Brilliant. Should have simply kept Brandon Paul
Do you guys really think RC would make a mistake? Must have tried out and showed some skills that could fit into our system i'm sure.
Experience wins over young talent all day during playoffs.
Is like to see Dangubic, Blossomgame, and Uthoff compete for a roster spot. I'd also like one of the losers signed to one of the 2 way spots.
mills, gasol contracts, not signing simmons or dedmon or butler are most recent examples
Imagine how awful our shooting be if Mills and Gasol were gone for Simmons and Dedmon.
Guyis 29 and only played 320 games, he's not that experienced.
True. Also it's not like Dedmon and Simmons blew up Atlanta and Orlando, they are pretty good players but certainly not the ones that got away.
Huestis is a no go for that reason, he played 4 years of college ball, a year in the G League and 3 more in OKC and still hasn't developed into even a decent shooter.
Great thread guys. Can we put this guy into NBA2k and max his shooting or something?
Get used to holding Pop's clip board. God this off season has been pathetic.
