Manu will still be part of the "SRV" commercials.
Impactful graphic.

I'd say White. I think the plan for Walker still is to be full time in Austin but Manu's retirement opens a small door for him to earn a rotation spot during training camp. Forbes will fight with both of them too for the 4th and 5th guard spot behind DeRozan, Murray, Mills. Brynn should be a good sparring partner for White and Walker (to me that's the only reason that justifies his presence in the roster).
Pondexter will try to make the team and if he finally does, he would be competing for SF minutes with Belinelli, Cunningham, Bertans?
Aldridge, Gay, Gasol, Poetl, Bertans, Cunningham will take the minutes at the 4 and 5 positions.
The roster is not perfect or ideal, for sure, but is well balanced and blends inside/outside game, expertise/youth, etc. Its flexibility offers multiple on-court combinations to Popovich, as there are a good number of players able of playing different positions. Another way of structuring the team :
Guards: Murray, DeRozan, Mills, White, Forbes, Walker
Wings-forwards: Belinelli, Gay, Bertans, Cunningham, Pondexter
Bigs: Aldridge, Poetl, Gasol
Add the 2-way contracts and maybe leave a free spot to operate in February depending on team needs. The trade deadline scenario looks good for the Spurs this season.
do u guys think spurs can develop another player better then KL?
does walker have that potential or he going to end up like the former walker the spurs wasted a draft pick on back in the day?
Still think we should go get the other Quincy anyways.
no to Pondexter
The new HOTS
Looks decent considering losing 4 players from 2014.
What does the Spurs "Death Lineup" look like?
Murray, DeRozan, Gay, Cunningham, Aldridge
Forbes, Mills, Belinelli, DeRozan, Gay

I think nobody on Earth expected that progression. The franchise has been developing young players successfully for years, getting the best of them on their seasons in San Antonio. Every player is different and many factors have an impact on this process. Lonnie Walker seems to be a talented player which gives him the potential to become a good player. Let's see how he starts the journey before discussing how high can he reach. In the meantime, we can trust the kid and be optimistic.
I guess it's hard to say, further than Aldridge, Gay, DeRozan. I'd say Mills can close some games if his defensive matchup is not a problem for the team. Murray should be solid enough for Pop to trust him. You can imagine Belinelli taking a needed 3pt after a timeout... Maybe Bertans becomes that versatile forward the team needs? Will one of the veterans or even one of the youngsters have a chance? I have no idea tbh.
Lol... true.
Leonard came into the league a plus defender and rebounder for his position. He learnt to spot up shoot during the lockout. After that, all his moves and footwork etc etc, came from hours of practice. The spurs staff taught him bit by bit, then one season after next they let him use those moves. It all just came together. But his strength and defensive instincts cannot really be taught. It's something you have. The rest was hard work and luck.
You aren't lying. Not to mention his hands, wingspan on top of that ridiculous strength.
Sources: The San Antonio Spurs and second-round pick Chimezie Metu have agreed on a three-year rookie deal. Team is high on the former USC standout.
Nice try.
Awesome. Thanks to TD21 I found out that Cunningham was signed with the LLE rather than the MLE. That left open the chance to offer long-term deals to a number of players. Love that they seem to have done it with Metu. Hope they do it with a couple more.
Tony looks pretty good shape. 😢
He does, but he also seemed really happy to play for Charlotte. Got to be happy for him. Good thing for Tony fans is you can always catch a game from Charlotte online or something if you have the blues.
Tony still has plenty of gas in the tank. Many people discounted him last year but remember he came back early from a horrible injury, he was not 100% last year. He should be closer to his old self this year.
These injuries are devastating and take a while to recover from. Just because they are cleared to play does not mean they are 100%. Just look at Rudy gay he said he wasn't feeling 100% until this summer. I expect Rudy to show his prime form this year too.
It’s a good setup for him. Play with one of his best friends, hang out with his childhood idol, and lowered expectations (2nd round versus championship). Wish him the best!
Ultimately more playing time. I think this will be a good thing for his career. There just wasn't a place for him anymore on the Spurs. TP9 hope you get your 3 more years.
David West retired. He got his free rings on the way out.
