So I assume they’d have a plan B for Butler, Klay or Durant...or just pay the tax? Kawhi would be taking $35M of that $36-$38.

Will Deng get a smaller version statue like Kirbys?
Maybe have a final game for him where the other team gets paid to lay down while he chucks?

    Luol Deng Los Angeles Lakers

    2016-17 $18,000,000
    2017-18 $17,190,000

Lebron is really turning the Lakers around, can't deny that. Players actually want to play with Lebron, you get the credit you deserve when you win, and when you don't, Lebron gets the blame.

    perfect situation for Durant.

    Speaking of Durant: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/2...state-warriors

    I agree.
    Nothing is promised.
I also agree if KL is healthy, he would be the best choice even over Klay.
Problem is, where do we fit the pieces?
I know everyone is in favor of "positionless basketball" but the pieces/skill-set still matter.
KL>>>>>>>>>>>>way better than Klay But we already have: Kuzma, LeBron, Ingram that all we will play mins. at SF
I know we could and would sacrifice BI for KL as anyone would based on what we know now.
But I am still a big believer in Ingram and hope to see him develop as a Laker.

I do believe and trust fully in Maginka so I will sit tight.

Oh and thank God, Deng is gone!

The Lakers now have an open roster spot. Anybody out there worth having on a 1-year deal?

A center is probably needed but there probably isnt one left worth a damn ...

Does Tyson have anything left in the tank? I'd rather Zu. I think Zu will get some burn this year. He looks to be in really good shape. LBJ makes bigs look better than they are.

But if you promise me he won't dieded, Bosh would look great on a 1-year deal

Well see what Maginka do with this cap space. I don’t want klay here not because of talent but because it would be stupid for 08 lakers to sign ray Allen and same situation here. Let’s beat the compe ion not buy it. Prefer lebron+Kiwi+?

Either way...I bet Jim buss explains why he ed the lakers so hard everyday of his life pretending magic stole this moment from him after all the sacrifice.

They can likely clear up to $54 million or so by salary dumping Ball and Ingram as well as renouncing their one year rentals but keeping Kuzma and Hart. It would leave them about $22 million in capspace after signing mute got to a max deal. Leonard could only command a starting salary of $32.7 million next summer but the cap hit would only be around $32 million since it would erase one of the empty roster spot under 12 charges.

Teams that develop their own talent command a much deeper response from fans and winning feels more impactful. When you just buy mega stars like Lebron or Kawhi or Durant those Ws will never feel as meaningful.

I thought they were bringing an ugly brand of ball to the game and didn't respect their preferential treatment from refs but honestly yeah I respected their 2015 le way way more than their mail-it-in championships of the past 2 years.

I don't know I'm seeing some measurable fan passion here:

That .gif of Laker Phan taking off his Laker Jersey while having a Warriors jersey underneath.

Now Bynumite / Laker Phan is putting it back on.
