Key Republican Senators Lay Groundwork for Trump to Fire Sessions — But Here's the Catch
He could have just received his long-awaited green light.
One crucial go-ahead came from Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, who wavers between
criticizing many of the president's policies to
cozying up to a commander-in-chief who occasionally invites him to golf outings at a Trump-branded resort.
Graham formerly affirmed the following: "If Jeff Sessions is fired, there will be holy to pay." But a lot has happened between July 2017 and last week.
"The president's en led to an attorney general he has faith in –
somebody that's qualified for the job,"
Graham told reporters last week, according to CNN.
"And I think there will come a time – sooner rather than later – where it will be time to have a new face and a fresh voice
at the Department of Justice."
"That's an important office in the country," Graham added. "And, after the election, I think there will be some serious discussions about a new attorney general."
Continuing his media blitz in support of Trump's ability to remove Sessions from office, Graham further declared Tuesday morning on NBC's Today Show that
the pair's "relationship is beyond repair."
In another reversal, Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, ...
"I do have time for hearings on nominees that the president might send up here that I didn't have last year," the senator said in an interview with Bloomberg.
"Clearly, Attorney General Sessions doesn’t have the confidence of the president," Grassley added.
Both senators' comments came after a Fox News interview in which
Trump repeatedly insulted Sessions and criticized his attorney general's decision to recuse himself from overseeing the Russia investigation,
alleging that he had never taken control of the Department of Justice.

Good news: It gets them Trump
Bad news: Kavanaugh deciding SC vote to give Trump ultimate power.
Of course this makes you happy. Have a mentally unfit white supremacist ruling our country.
Who is the joke on? smh
Darrin's a neutral party. He doesnt support Trump nor make arguments for him so I dont know who youre talking to
there it is
Oh, can you explain how Kavanaugh will unilaterally give Drumpf ultimate power?
Darrin laughs because he's pretty much on his way out. We're the ones who have to bare the brunt and deal with Trump's and the GOP aftermath.
I’m dealing with this ty economy and my tax cuts. The horrors.
Papa Dop sez, to NYTimes, that he doesn't remember, over gin and tonic(s), telling Downer about Russians having dirt on Hillary![]()
An economy that Obama kickstarted and handed on a platter, you mean? You hypocrite got.
But yes of course. Enjoy your 10 dollar tax increase by all means necessary.
Had this tax cut been in affect in 2017, I’d have saved 27K. Lol, 10 bucks
TSA
Bongino called it months ago on his podcast.
Once-loyal Alabama delegation gives Sessions the cold shoulder
The attorney general could once count on his fellow Alabamians to publicly defend him. That seems no longer the case.

His vote will assure that Mueller cannot indict Trump. Cannot subpoena Trump. Cannot make Trump testify before a grand jury.
Why else would Trump nominate this guy - who wasn't even on the first TWO lists of SC nominees that Trump promised to go by?
TSA so desperate he’ll settle this as a win.
the agreed plea deal was 0 to 6 months. He cooperated, he got a super light sentence. The end. Felon in the end.
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/07/u...stigation.htmlRoughly 60 percent of defendants in such cases receive probation, the judge said, and sentencing guidelines suggested a punishment from probation to six months in prison.
While Mr. Papadopoulos deserved a harsher punishment than probation, the judge said, he also deserved credit for trying to cooperate and for his apparent contrition.
Nevermind. Not a win for you after all.![]()

It’s not inexplicable at all. Two FBI agents working the case didn’t think Flynn lied. This was in the House Intelligence Committee Russia Report. Andrew McCabe testified to them that two FBI agents who interviewed Michael Flynn “didn’t think he was lying.”

Trump told pool that he'd seen George Papadopoulos get nailed for lying to the FBI and Michael Flynn get nailed for lying to the FBI. He inexplicably said Mueller thought Flynn lied but that the FBI did not. Said he is leery they will try to ensnare him for perjury.
So he's not presumed dead at all.
lol panic lying
Actually, Flynn plead guilty, and admission that he indeed lied to the FBI...
Flynn was guilty of trusting the FBI and not bringing a lawyer. Perjury traps are common in our corrupt system.
How common, Chris?
Let's see your perjury trap statistics for 2017.
