Forbes probably isn't going to be an regular rotation player, neither is Walker, Metu, Cunningham and Pondexter.

I don't think that too much depth is an issue.
Yeah, it would be great if we could get back to the point where we are winning games by 10-20 points and can let the starters rest a bit in the 4th. Having a solid third string who you can put out and expect to close games is key to that.

That was a highly underrated factor in the Spurs success between '12-'14. Keeps guys fresh and minimizes the possibility of injury.

Forbes played a lot last year. As ty as it is, he will get minutes.

Wouldn't be surprised if Forbes gets as much time as White, tbh.

This team is too deep. Wish we could trade Forbes and Gasol for a early 2nd rounder.
    No such thing.

    Look at Golden State.

I wish Gay plays well and Spurs can extend his contract. I expect him to close the game with DJ, Mills/Belli, Demar, Gay, LMA. Unless it’s 10-20 points lead then I want to see some Metu, Poeltl out there. GSG!

the player I am most excited about this year is Rudy. I have modest expectations for Murray, none for White, don't expect much P.T. from rook, and will continue to take LMA for granted. Rudy gonna open eyes this year. Rudaaayyyyy!

I've got high hopes for Dejounte, high hopes for LWIV to somehow break into the rotation (hopefully through defense first), and also think Rudy could have one of his best seasons ever. LaMarcus, I hope he can pick up where he left off last year - I'd be very happy if he could continue to build off of last season. D-White, I'm not too sure about. He doesn't seem to show much of a swagger or talk about himself with great confidence, but I think he could possibly surprise the most.

Anybody who followed Timmy's career should know that you don't have to run your mouth and pump yourself up to be a great player.

Obviously, White is never going to be a Tim Duncan...but some guys just prefer to let their play speak for itself. They don't need to put up YouTube hype videos to believe in themselves.

White has plenty of swagger. It takes real balls to pull up for some of these shots.

Not sure what to think of White either. Best I can hope for is a haircut and a decent shooting percentage. I have a feeling some of the younger guys will play themselves out of the league. We have some less than efficient players.

I know your joking but I think Pop will have a compe ion for backup PG with White and Forbes. I think had White actually been given the chance, he would've been as good or better than Forbes was last season. I think White is clearly the better of the two but Forbes will get plenty of chances to make the rotation.

I hope Pops starts him at PF and LMA at center. But he needs to knock those 3’s when Demar/LMA need to dish when double teamed.
I doubt that Pop would start Gay, I think he'll play LMA and Gasol together for the first 6-7 minutes of each half then have Gay come in and play the final 5 or 6 minutes of the 1st and 3rd quarter and the first 4 minutes of the 2nd and 4th then close each half by playing the final five minutes of each.

That's 28-30 mpg off the bench, all at PF- though he'll guard 3 and 4's depending on the opponent.

If the Mills, Murray, DDR, LMA, and Aldridge lineup struggles to space the floor, I think Bertans would be an option for the Blair start. That would open things up for DDR and LMA and should be a much better offensive unit.

    6.3 rpg
    2.8 apg
    1.5 spg
    0.9 bpg
    37.2 3ptFG%

Since he isn’t a 1st or 2nd option he should be great. I believe if he can stay healthy he we’ll excel in his role and give the team some much needed buckets in crucial situations. I also believe that he will shoot the 3 at a high percentage this season.

If you've seen Derozan so far in the preseason Rudy Gay may need to be our 2nd option. Rudy is looking really good hopefully Derozan picks up the playbook. He looks lost and completely out of rhythm in the Spurs system so far.

Can’t believe you’re saying that when you should already know that it takes time. He didn’t even look that bad tonight in my eyes. He’ll adjust. But yeah Rudy is looking pretty good.

I don't know his official weight but to me he does appear leaner in recent pictures. Looking more like a SF again
