You can play it better on PC now. My cpu can only get it to 50 fps in the worst areas, but anyone with an unlocked i5 or i7 Skylake or newer should be able to run that 60 fps.
Haha. The entire reason I bought the Switch was for portability.

I'm getting tempted by the Switch. Right now there are four games I'm interested in on the system: Super Mario Odyssey, Project Octopath Traveler, Bayonetta 2, and The World Ends With You Remix. But the Tokyo Game Show next week might determine whether I buy a Switch in the next six months. Because I'm hoping we get a flood of JRPG on it soon like we have on 3DS (which is a ing amazing handheld because of this huge Japanese game library). On 3DS you have five killer Shin Megami Tensei games, two great Bravely games, I think three Fire Emblems, and so on. But the big one for me is Shin Megami Tensei V. If I don't have a Switch the day that launches I'll probably buy one just for it. Also I think there is a Nintendo Direct today at 5PM CST. Hopefully it's not more indie crap or Smash Bros.

Another thing that would get me to jump on Switch immediately would be if Atlus ported Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 FES to the Switch at 1080p, since P4G doesn't look great on Playstation TV at 492p and since P3 FES is 4:3 aspect ratio being a PS2 game. I could see it happening now that Sega owns Atlus and with how much Sega loves publishing games on Nintendo consoles.

I traded in some games for Spiderman (actually the first time ever I've traded in anything to Gamestop). The webslinging and crowd combat is really fun. It's cool to be able to freeroam around Manhattan and see real recognizable landmarks alongside Marvel locations like Oscorp, the Avengers building, Rand enterprises, etc. I haven't gone too far into the storyline though.

The Switch is so ing awesome. There are so many details that went into it's creation -- Nintendo clearly made it for gamers and listened to a lot of feedback. Everything is so well thought out and fast. It's super pleasing to be able to just hit "power" and go. I know the DS had that but they aren't even in the same league of systems. I don't feel like I'm compromising with a Switch. When I pop the controllers off I can fit it into my pocket, which makes it even more portable than the OG DS.

HIGHLY recommend Dead Cells and Hollow Knight both btw, if you haven't played them. Super fun and very challenging.

It still needs exclusives. I couldn't give a about using the Switch to play indie games I can get off Steam. But it's not XBox with nothing interesting in the tank, it should become a great console at some point.

Too bad PS4 Pro is impossible to find right now, as Gamestop is offering $300 credit for PS4 500 GB tomorrow. I'd sell them my PS4 in a second to get a brand new PS4 Pro with a bigger hard drive and a new year of warranty for $133 after tax.
    https://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-P...ywords=ps4+pro

Bundle though. Running out soon too.

Honestly I need a PS4 Pro myself but right now I wouldn't notice the difference because my TV is a pretty lame normal 40 inch HDTV.

Didn't see anything new and must buy in today's Nintendo Direct. Are they just going to bring every Wii U game to the Switch? Now New Super Mario Bros U? That series is so tired, only the first two on the DS and the Wii were good.

It looks like another crap online survival game. It has no NPCs and Todd Howard said you make the story as you go. No mother er, you guys make the story and the characters, that's why I pay your asses $60 for Fallout games. Just Cause 4 I can see getting excited about. Probably want to get that one on PC though, the PC version of Just Cause 3 was far superior to the console versions because of the horrible cpu bottleneck in the consoles.

Turing is going to be such a ty generation. Nvidia won't allow reviews to go up until the 19th. Probably so people won't have time to cancel their preorders before they're charged and the cards shipped since the 20th is launch date. LOL at Nvidia pulling a Ubisoft. DJR210 has gotta be rolling in his grave at Nvidia's gotry.

I mean, the 10xx series from Nvidia was phenomenal, but the 9xx was subpar, and the 7xx series was absolutely horrific.

    Hopefully AMD can catch up.

I disagree with you on 900 vs 1000 series. 900 series was awesome since they got big performance gains on the same 28 nm node as the 600/700 series while cutting the price down pretty significantly from Kepler. Pascal was just Nvidia piggybacking off TSMC's node shrink to 14 nm and all the cards got big price increases. Kepler and Pascal tried to make GeForce buyers pay for compute while Maxwell was pretty much just gaming cards. Now Nvidia took it to the extreme with the 2000 series though making gamers pay for hardware designed for their Quadro cards. Hopefully Navi will be decent because I'm not paying $600 for ing midrange Nvidia cards.

some benchmarks are leaked, 4k above 60fps, seriously that raytracing is currently non existent in todays games and they trying to set this new technology as the new standard, when ppl are to busy focusing on the action then the rendered gameplay thats not in their view of site...

amd needs to focus on achieving 4k 60fps or higher....

i think nvidia give the rtx that new price range, due to wanting to get rid of that existing 1000 series stock, till they start to decrease the rtx range...currently there is no compe ion so they can do whatever they want...

would u guys buy a used card thats been used for mining?? even if the card still has warranty on it? do companies cover cards thats used for mining where it had its bios tweaked?

I'm hoping Navi is some killer next year because I'm itching to upgrade my 970 and will jump all over an RX 680 if they can offer something splitting the difference between 1080 and 1080 Ti performance for $350 or less (which should be doable on 7nm). I doubt we even get a Turing 2060, I bet the 2060 will be a rebrand of the 1060 for $250.

I'm getting my ass whooped in Spiderman and I'm playing on normal. lol

It's all about timing. Sometimes I can get through a wave of enemies without being touched and executing moves like I'm ing Thor out there and in the same session get everything wrong and die within 3 hits.

Finally finished Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne. Holy that was the hardest RPG I have ever played. Quite a bit more difficult than Fallout 2 or Shin Megami Tensei IV. Probably the darkest RPG I have played also.

We can review the individual cards if you want.

960: Nothing special. Not great performance. Expensive and hot in laptops for the m variant as well.

970: Complete trainwreck for months thanks to the onboard memory debacle.

980: Solid card but hot and heavy.

The AMD 290/290x was the best card of the entire generation, which is why I think Nvidias offerings weren't very good. They came out a year before the 900 series, completely destroyed the 7xx cards especially as they aged, and then actually ended up being faster than the 900s except for the 980ti.

10xx was brilliant though, AMD had no answer as they were pushing the CPUs, and fitting the desktop variants into a laptop config was a stroke of genius. I'm typing this from a laptop with a 1050ti and it's just a marvelous card. Lightweight laptop under 5 pounds, gets 6 hours of battery life, and can play Witcher 3 on high with no problems. For $620 that is a damn steal.

    I disagree man.

960: Complete dog , one of the worst cards ever put out in that price bracket. Too bad AMD's card was terrible too, the R9 285. They should have just stuck with the awesome R9 280 instead. Though I imagine 2060 will be much worse than even 960.

970: They lied like about the memory architecture but the thing could still overclock to 980 performance.

    980: Overpriced IMO.

980 Ti: A card that monstered everything else on the market and aftermarket models could often be overclocked to 1080 level performance

1000 series is when Nvidia started their monopoly pricing. Eg jacking up 70 series price from $330 to $450 and 80 series from $550 to $700.
