Didn't hate Cavil, though, I agree that all 3 movies that he was in were trash. Also agree that DC seems like they are trying to make random comic movies, without them relating to each other. The fact that they are already replacing to key DC superheroes (Superman, and probably Batman) doesn't bode well for the DCEU long term.

In his first movie I was actually disappointed when it shifted its focus on Superman. I thought seeing Russel Crow as his bamf dad was pretty entertaining and quite a refreshing change of pace. Tbh I kinda wanted the entire movie to focus around him instead.

Really ill give credit to this movie for being prophetic in one point it: really the captured the zeitgeist of the current time in that it showed there is no scenario you can put a modern white male in where he wont feel sorry for himself in and spend time being the victim of stuff.
Honestly im a white male and until movies like this and all the rightwing sites popped up last few years had no idea how bad I had it. I was like happy even until i found how much stuff im the victim of now

He was good in the spy movie he was in with that Armie Hammer dork. Was more charismatic and upbeat. Was the kind of positive character that he could have been in a Superman movie with the right director
